This Hop Monster uses multiple kettle hop additions with the technique of doubling the hop amount each addition (exponentially). Add in the hop back and the continuous dr- hopping and your starting to get the picture. The beer is finished off with a "body-bag" sized hop-bag full of hop cones and oak chips. There it ages and mellows, disguising the alcohol content for a double strong, incredibly hoppy, yet drinkable beer.

22oz bottle thanks to nogidrew86 for throwing it in as a very generous extra!!!
Poured into a tulip glass at fridge temp
A- Pours a nice golden honey orange with less than a finger head that leaves nothing more than a bright white rim around the glass. Doesn't leave much head retention but the legs are there to remind you this is %10.
S- Like I expected, huge tropical fruit notes up front. Mango, peach, citrus, grapefruit. But on top of that is has the more earthy side to it with pine, dank resin, celery, and grass. Has a slight caramel maltiness to it as well as a hint of alcohol that stings the nose slightly. Can get my nose out of the glass haha
T- First thing I noticed is the more earthy hop flavors come through like pine, dank resin, fresh grass, and celery which I love! The fruitiness is more subtle and well-balanced and creates a nice overall sweetness to the strong bitter brutal hop take over in your mouth. Also the malts are way more apparent and provide a sweet body and base as well as a solid creamy more full body. Not getting the alcohol really, the hops drown out the harshness but they don't stop you from feeling it.
M- Medium to fuller body with moderate carbonation and a nice strong bitter finish.
Overall I gotta give it up to Alpine. I'll admit this is my first triple IPA but god damn is it worth every penny and second of labor that went into this beer; not to mention all the hype. Get this beer if you can, you will not regret it one bit. A true defining example of what a hop bomb should be.

From a month-old pint can, pours a very clear darkish-gold. Small white head with little lacing, as you'd expect from this ABV. Smell and taste are classic West Coast IPA, with pine and honey malt in balance. Good hit of bitterness in the finish. No trace of alcohol, medium feel. Great beer.
