This Hop Monster uses multiple kettle hop additions with the technique of doubling the hop amount each addition (exponentially). Add in the hop back and the continuous dr- hopping and your starting to get the picture. The beer is finished off with a "body-bag" sized hop-bag full of hop cones and oak chips. There it ages and mellows, disguising the alcohol content for a double strong, incredibly hoppy, yet drinkable beer.

A: Poured a beautiful golden orange color with less than one finger of off white head with a greenish tint. Head fell quickly to nothing more than a skim but manage some stickage.
S: Grapefruit and citrus come out first. Some clementines perhaps. Pine is woven in with a bit of spicy herbalness. It just rolls through everything. As it warms hints of tropical fruit but more pine.
T: Grapefruit and pine smack hard and roll across the palate. The pine lingers a while and finally lets some raw dough poke through. Then its back to a lightly bitter wave and some very spicy herbal flavors to the finish. Some powdery aspirin. Long alcohol burn. There is a resin coating that develops on the tongue and lets the hops really settle in.
M: Thick and syrupy, it really coats the mouth and you have to let it slide down like a warm jello shot. Does that sound bad because it isnt. Its great.
O: Amazing. The flavors of this hop bomb really roll nicely and deliver everything I want out of a big DIPA. So freaking hoppy and juicy. The experience of this beer is greater than its parts. Not sure I would change anything. I could drink it forever.

From a month-old pint can, pours a very clear darkish-gold. Small white head with little lacing, as you'd expect from this ABV. Smell and taste are classic West Coast IPA, with pine and honey malt in balance. Good hit of bitterness in the finish. No trace of alcohol, medium feel. Great beer.
