Pours a clear dull amber, quick fading white head, a few dots on the glass. Smell: candied citrus peel, cardboard, half-rotten papaya, resin, orange. Taste: piney first and foremost, with stone fruit and vaguely tropical fruit sweetness, a little tangerine, more pine in the finish. Medium bodied, hoppy-steely finish. Not remotely as good as Duet. Not remotely in the same discussion as the top 3 tiers of Citra + Mosaic IPAs. Not even that dank! A bottle full of lies.

22 ounce with the Best By of some time in September 2016. Kind of already affects my tastebuds not knowing exactly when this was bottled. Just tell me when the shit was bottled.

Flavor and nose here show a bit of funk, citrusy notes, and a floral element. Light melon. Zesty grapefruit. Biscuity and lightly bready malt. Plenty of flavor. Plenty of aroma. Also a plenty of body.

A bit too much body actually. With the refreshing and light flavors, a lower ABV and body would have been more welcome. Still, it drinks cleanly, has a mellow bitterness and restrained malt presence.

Pretty solid thought the bottle dating pissed me the hell off.

Clear light orange with a thick finger of white head that leaves decent lacing.

Grapefruit, white pepper and tangerine pith in the nose.

The taste is more muted, with dull citrus and light pithy bitterness, then a fairly watery finish.

Light to medium bodied with a strong peppery prickliness in the mouthfeel.

Pretty good, but not in the same class as some of Alpine's other offerings.

Type: 16-oz. draft
Glass: Clear pint glass
From: Alpine Beer Company (brewery) in Alpine, Calif.
Price: $5.00
Purchased: Nov. 3, 2015
Consumed: Nov. 3, 2015
Misc.: Tried on release day

Poured a honey, golden, pale, clear color with two fingers of off-white fizzy head when I got it. Average amount of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Good amount of layered, foamy lacing on the sides of the glass. Above average retention. (Sight - 4.00)

Smelled Mosaic, Citra, resin, orange blossom, light tropical and juicy orange, reminding me a lot of High Kicks I think. (Smell - 4.25)

Taste followed the nose nicely, maybe slightly more boozy. Got Mosaic, Citra, tropical pulp, light resin, bitter orange rind, earthy mango, caramel and Amarillo (I think). (Taste - 4.00)

Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Bitter, abrupt, boozy finish. (Feel - 3.75)

Just another good ABC offering and I may have slightly underrated this overall. (Overall - 4.00)

12 oz bottle. Pours clear golden orange with a medium rocky white head that retains well and laces the glass some.

The aroma is some bready malt and stinky floral hops.

The flavor is bready malts with soapy catty hops. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, not a big fan of the hop profile.

Best by dec 1st 2017. This brew has a beautifully clear and bubbly dark gold color. An exceptionally well balanced flavor profile. Heavy on the pine, hints of tropical flavors, and satisfying bitterness. Really great body and mouthfeel - generously carbonated. Great all around IPA.

Copper colored with a half inch of creamy off white on top. I'm smelling earthy mosaic hops and light malt. I'm tasting those wonderful mosaic and also some citrus hops along with light malt. The mouth is lightly sticky and chewy.

Solid beer! Fresh cut cannabis aroma. Tropical and piney taste. Medium body with citrusy finish. Great tone throughout. Hops are very present yet interwoven to taste component.

Great for juicy hops lovers.

12 oz bottle with a 21 June 2017 BB date stamp from JAX.
Pours medium amber in color with a nice off-white head. Faintly hazy.

Aroma: markedly dank and piney but with floral, citrus and melon tones.

Flavor: pine, citrus, and melon notes. Some grapefruit and citrus peel build into the aftertaste. Moderately-high bitterness.

Feel: smooth medium body with well set carbonation.

Overall: dank and resinous aroma precede a surprisingly palatable and fruity ale. Recommended!

Good looking beer with a very nice hops aroma. The taste has hops qualities but brings along a silliness or something like that which didn't help my enjoyment of this particular beer. Finish with a dryness that I quite enjoyed.
