West Coast Citrus bomb. Best way to describe in a nutshell:

Pineapple starburst nose & taste with a somewhat chalky & flinstone vitamin mouthfeel. Excellent beer that could use some fine tuning & cleaning up.

On-tap at the brewery.

Canary yellow, fairly hazy body with a lasting magnolia head.

Grapefruit seed/pith and maybe a touch of pineapple in the nose.

The "peppery" or "spicy" rye notes synergize well with the clean fruity flavors from the hops. Well balanced with a dry finish and thoroughly disguised ABV.

Medium-light bodied and crisp.

Maybe slightly more approachable than Nelson, but at the sacrifice of some character. Very good in any case.

On tap at OB Noodle House, served in a pint

Clear, golden-tan appearance, as a fluffy head recedes fairly quickly. Floral, hoppy nose, biscuity with honey-sweetness lingering.

Where the original Nelson had tropical aspects spearheading its flavor profile (before Green Flash ruined it), this has earthy floral notes at the front. Lemony tea, pine, whole grain crackers round things out. Fairly straight-forward profile, drinkable but not remarkable.

This is a decent IPA, but is nothing compared to the original Nelson, and doesn't really even taste like an Alpine brew. Oh well, I guess this is why everyone was concerned when Green Flash gobbled them up.

This is probably the best dank IPA out there today. OG Nelson used to be my favorite beer of all time but now Not Nelson has surpassed Nelson. I would rather have a pint of Not Nelson than a pint of Pliny any day. This beer is a 5/5 anyday.. Enjoy!

Poured a cloudy, yellow body with two-finger head that quickly died. An orange dominant acidic hop aroma. Smooth body with sweet yet sharp tangerine grapefruit like hops and sweetness with a dry, crisp finish.

Had a pint at the "new" (to me) restaurant today for $6.00.

Beer was served a cloudy blonde with a beautiful white head that left lacing with each sip.

Nose is grassy and fresh citrus.

Taste was a light rye spice over a pale malt backbone that blended very nicely with a mild citrus hop. Finish was a touch green from the green bullet hopping.

Mouthfeel was soft and light. I just dig the soft mountain water used with their beers!

Overall this was a delightful beer, definitely would recommend it!
