Bottle shared by Curran last night.

Pours a hazy russet brown color, with no real head, or lacing. Looks really nice.

Smells like toasted malt, caramel, toffee, and breadiness. Smells delicious.

There's a nice dark Belgian chocolate and roastiness to this barleywine that's unexpected, on top of the classic toffee and caramel flavors in perfect unison. There's a bit of bourbon, not a whole lot, and some oak and vanilla. Absolutely delicious.

This barleywine has a body of medium thickness, with a low amount of carbonation. It's a little bit syrupy, not a whole lot, keeping it still very drinkable.

This one seems to fly under the radar a bit, it's amazing, but not a whole lot of people talk about. People should talk about it more.

When a bourbon aged Barleywine is done right, with a lot of bourbon and some heartiness from the barleywine, you get this beer. Great was truly GREAT, with a perfect heartwarming finish.
