L- Pours a rather clear copper color with an ivory, foamy head. Only a slight haze, but I bet it's good since it's an Alpine.

S- I'm picking up on a resinous hoppy scent paired with pine and tropical fruits. Smells juicy.

T- Well, it's not as juicy as that Better Than Ezra song, but it's good. I'm getting a lot of dankness from it, which is something I treasure in an IPA. The initial bitterness of the hops is complimented by a new taste to palette through that of melon, and is then rounded out by the taste of pine and citrus rinds at the tail end.

F- Medium bodied and sticky, with a finish that is surprisingly not as dry as I had expected. I'm really digging the resin.

O- Alpine doesn't disappoint when it comes to IPAs, it's about as simple as that. Despite the fact that I prefer DIPAs, this was one of the better straight up IPAs that I have had.

Gold to copper in color with good head. Smells of tangerines, tropical fruit and some earthy pine notes. Taste follows nose but pine is a bit more predominant with a touch of sour apple, malt is bready and carmel/toasty and a touch of diacetyl. Good medium with velvety carbonation. Good beer overall but malt flavors slighty clash with the hops.

Seems a bit dated by the smell and taste but the best by date is May 2017. I hate breweries that don't bottle date. Glad I only picked up a single. I know I'm getting Alpine beers brewed by Green Flash, but this brewery seems WAY overrated.

Best by August 2016, so I may not be completely fair on this here.

The body is hazy orange-honey colored, with a towering head of 3 fingers, leaving TONS of good lace behind. Some hop sediment floating.

Lots of caramel and old hop aromas, so yeah this isn't starting off too great. Light pine behind that.

Flavor is better regardless of the old hop. Citrus, melon, pine. The spoiled hop does rest on the palate heavily at the end though.

Feel is thick and creamy, ever so slightly resinous. Very good here.

Overall, if I can get my hands on a fresh sample I may revise this review. I can't help but think that what I've got in my glass is totally unfair for me to diss on. I upped everything by a quarter point over my impressions to make up for it.
