L: Slightly hazy, translucent orange with a tight white head. Excellent retention and lacing.

S: Orange marmalade, orange peel, grapefruit peel, pineapple, dankness, sweet biscuit malt, brown sugar, pine.

T: Tons of bittersweet orange, yellow grapefruit, orange marmalade, papaya, and pineapple. There's a sugary biscuit backbone, but it dries off nicely into a dank and piney finish with some lingering orange and grapefruit peel notes. There's also a bit of a lingering black tea flavor.

F: Medium-bodied, smooth and filling, nicely pushing carbonation for a creamy feel yet quick flow.

O: The first Alpine beer that has really impressed me. This is a very good WC IPA. Hoppy, citrusy, and piney with a dry and bitter finish.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a deep golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of citrus, some resin. Taste is citrus, malts, a bit of resin, surprisingly mild bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a good beer, but it didn't meet my expectations.

One of the best, most freshest tasting IPA I've had. Simply delicious. How anyone could rate this under a 4.0 is beyond my comprehension. Awesome brew

Bottle best by 06JUL17. DFH Tulip.

A: pours a slightly hazy orange gold with one finger of bubbly white head that retains fairly well. A few bubbles here and there but pretty low visible carbonation. Little lacing.

S: hoppy. Bright floral citrus. Lemon peel. Crisp. Grassy. Resinous. Smells like Thunderlips, Mystic Mama, and every other super hoppy beer on the market right now. Fortunately, it does NOT smell like cat pee.

T: full on hoppy arrival. Much like the nose, floral resin, turning to a dry white bread middle, then bitter lemon peel and floral - gentian? Lingering lemon peel finish like Turkish lemon tea. Okay, living up to the hype here.

M: crisp as all get out. Bone dry and lighter side of midweight. Frankly a little undercarbonated, but because it is not slick at all and a little lighter bodied I don't really miss it. Very clean finish with some lingering lemon, but missing enough aftertaste to make you crave another sip.

O: this is a full-on new age hop bomb with only 45 IBU. Is that a paradox? Perhaps, but I am all the better for it. I can see why this is so popular, though it is very similar to the above-mentioned local beers which I can get fresher. Also, the brewery uses best by dating rather than bottled on dating, so I really have no idea how old it is. A great beer, no doubt about it; but it has been imitated so many time over that it lacks originality anymore.
