Amber golden color with a thick thin head with decent retention and leaving some laces.
Nice fresh aroma with notes of passion fruit, pine, yeast, lychees and orange juice.
Hoppy flavor with notes of pine, resin, slightly toasted malts, tea bags, oranges, lychees, spices, flowers, cantaloupe, pineapple, grapefruit and hints of dank versus earth. More complex than I expected. Dry and bitter aftertaste. Amazing they could do that with just 41 IBUs.
Medium body with appropriate carbonation. Alcohol of 7% is well disguised.
Perfectly executed west coast American IPA. This felt green and fresh with perfect hop balance for the style. It is worth to try it or to consistently have in the fridge.

I was a tiny bit disappointed in this, particularly for the price point ($2.99 for single bottle at Total Wine). Hazy pale in the glass with cream/white foamy head. Smell was piney hops, though not quite as hoppy as I expected in the taste. Somewhat one dimensional IPA. Unique hops flavor profile, but definitely piney and (good) bitter. Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't quite the star west coast offering I expected.

L — Pours a filtered pale orange body with a one-finger white head produced with moderate pour. Some retention and lacing. Lots of visible carb
S — Pine, pine, and more pine. Some earth, citrus rind, and grass
T — Big resinous , earthy, and pithy character. The malt bill is very biscuity, with just a hint of caramel in the back
F — Crisp. Medium+ mouthfeel, medium+ carb. Good amount of resinous hop bitterness on the finish
O — I wish Alpine (post-Green Flash) were more forthcoming with their bottling dates. No idea how old this bottle is, beyond a cryptic ‘7278 2 1104’ stamp that I can’t make heads or tails of.

(2017 Edition)

This pours darker than I expected. Has a beautiful clear gold color with a white head.

I can smell the hops right away, and that's about all I get (awesome!).

I thoroughly enjoy the taste of this beer paired with the palate. It's very crisp, but with a strong hop and piney bitterness. There's also some grapefruit notes, and a very slight malt backbone.

What I like most about this beer is the oiliness. It's like squeezing hops into a glass! And with that comes a crispiness from the light flavors and carbonation.

I think what makes this beer shine is the hop oiliness paired with the crisp mouth feel. It is a very good IPA.

Just a great IPA, so glad to get it in Florida a month or two within shelf-life date.

Single bottle smuggled back to Canada from Trader Joe’s in San Diego - tried 4 oz on tap at taproom in Alpine. Pours a clear slightly orange golden with 1 finger white head. Aroma of citrus/orange with pine in back - some bready malt. Tastes of smooth citrus with piney bitterness. Mouthfeel has a slight coating bitterness but remarkably creamy finish. Absolutely great.

Pours clear golden honey. Enticing citrus and piney aroma. Taste is absolutely magnificent citrus and hops with easy, medium feel and easy lingering bitterness. Probably my favorite regular IPA. Absolutely love it and keep it regularly stocked.
