Style: American Double / Imperial IPA

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 8.00%

Notes / Commercial Description:
So mega-hopped it will take you to hop heaven. We’ve used hops in the boil, more hops in the giant hopback, and added to that, an incredible amount of dry-hopping for that cutting-edge “hop bite.” Once you’ve tasted this unique beer, all others pale in comparison. 1.072 OG Classified IBU

A - Clear amber with minimal head.
S - Like a pine tree, medium strength.
T - Powerful hoppiness, very piney. Bitterness hits in the middle and lingers in the aftertaste.
M - Medium light, some carbonation.
O - Smells and tastes as advertised. If you are into hops, you will enjoy it.

Medium amber appearance with a very disturbing nct hoppy fruity aroma. The taste matched the smell with a very smooth taste. This IPA is one of the better ones that I have tried

12 oz bottle best by may 4 2017. Poured into a tulip glass, a cloudy orange with a half finger of white head that moves quickly to a thin rim of lace. The aroma is citrus/orange/grapefruit dominant with hints of sugar and pine. The taste is more pine and grass centric, with some underlying caramel malt sweetness, but faint. Finishes dry and bitter. An almost herbal/tea like aftertaste comes out every now and again. The feel is medium heavy, carbonation is at medium level, and pretty crisp. A solid IIPA.

12oz bottl. 5/1/17 BB date. Appearance: Deep golden with a touch of orange, hazy, with a moderate foam cap and nice lacing. Aroma: Typical west coast IPA aroma of strong grassy, resinous, and citrus rind hoppiness. A touch more sweet, bready maltiness than a normal west coast IPA. Taste: Wow, wasn’t expecting this hard on the aroma... Starets with really sweet maltiness with some caramel undertones, and a strong dank, resinous, and garlic like hoppy flavor that builds into a strong bitterness that balances well against the maltiness. Mouthfeel: Pretty heavy body for an IPA, with a low to moderate carbonation. Finish: Dry and sticky on the tongue, with some caramel malt, but the bitterness is the dominant factor. Overall: Maybe a bit too much maltiness to feel like a true west coast IPA, but that’s not a bad thing as the overall depth and intensity of flavor was a surprise against a stereotypical west coast IPA aroma. With the strong maltiness, bitterness, and relatively heavy body for the style, this is definitely a slow drinker
