Alcohol by volume (ABV): 8.00%

Notes / Commercial Description:
So mega-hopped it will take you to hop heaven. We’ve used hops in the boil, more hops in the giant hopback, and added to that, an incredible amount of dry-hopping for that cutting-edge “hop bite.” Once you’ve tasted this unique beer, all others pale in comparison. 1.072 OG Classified IBU

From the bottle, it pours golden-orange amber with a nice head. Lacing. Lots and lots of piiney hops in the nose. The mouth is assaulted by the west-coast ipa hoppiness. Wow!

L- Pours a clear, yet somewhat hazy shade of orange that is brighter than what I'm used to. I dig it. The lacing is definitely there, but in my case the head is not. It's all good though, it's hazy so I'm happy.

S- I'm picking up a delightful smell of hops and citrus. The smell of this particular beer is presenting additional notes of something that are new to me as a rookie BA member, but I'm gonna say that the word would be "grass" or something. I guess that would fall into the floral category, but I digest (this beer).

T- It's wonderful, it satisfies the biggest of cravings for hops and provides a nice aftertaste of orange rinds there at the tail end. It is an aptly named beer, cause that's what I'm feeling. I'm a big fan of hop resin, and this delivers.

F- It's edging toward the heavier side of things, but the booze is somewhat hidden. It has the dry and sticky finish that all good DIPAs have.

O- I've tried Alpine's other pale ales, but this one is by far the best. However, I'm biased toward doubles. Regardless, I think everyone would feel Pure Hoppiness after trying this brew.

A - Clear amber with minimal head.
S - Like a pine tree, medium strength.
T - Powerful hoppiness, very piney. Bitterness hits in the middle and lingers in the aftertaste.
M - Medium light, some carbonation.
O - Smells and tastes as advertised. If you are into hops, you will enjoy it.

Medium amber appearance with a very disturbing nct hoppy fruity aroma. The taste matched the smell with a very smooth taste. This IPA is one of the better ones that I have tried

12 oz bottle best by may 4 2017. Poured into a tulip glass, a cloudy orange with a half finger of white head that moves quickly to a thin rim of lace. The aroma is citrus/orange/grapefruit dominant with hints of sugar and pine. The taste is more pine and grass centric, with some underlying caramel malt sweetness, but faint. Finishes dry and bitter. An almost herbal/tea like aftertaste comes out every now and again. The feel is medium heavy, carbonation is at medium level, and pretty crisp. A solid IIPA.
