Notes / Commercial Description:
The Captain is leader of a fire crew. This beer takes charge of your taste buds with its rich flavor. Roasty malt character that has hints of chocolate and coffee which balances the smooth, velvety finish. The thick, creamy head lasts and lasts, leaving lace in your glass as your beer disappears. This beer pairs well with food. Great with dinner or as breakfast or even with a rich vanilla-bean ice cream.

22 into tulip. Deep black brown with a dark khaki head that held nicely. Aromas of dark chocolate and some coffee with a super subtle vanilla or some other earthy yet sweet element. Flavor was just a nice uptick version of the aroma. Coffee in the foreground, chocolate in the background, and something a little earthy and sweet on the finish. Not sure if that is a yeast profile or some grain. Tasty stout, solid offering. WIll definitely have again.

Had this beer at the alpine pub, was hoping to get some seating but my party of 6 was to much for the tiny place there. All good, took my boy Jared to try out the flights and he enjoyed some Nelson, duet, hoppy bday, cap stout, and some koffee beer. So had them pour me a cap stout and I was expecting a little more. Flavor was ok, very drinkable, smell was decent, but I wanted a little excitement. Definitely drink again.

grumbler filled @ The Growler Run served in tulip pint

Pours black with a foamy, tan head.

Roasty espresso and cocoa notes. Very inviting.

A solid, well done stout.
