This beer poured a little darker than expected but quite clear, with good sustaining creamy head, significant lacing.

I couldn't get much from the nose, but the beer starts off a little bitter, tending towards my thought of an ESB. But it doesn't turn that way, and instead the initial taste lingers steady on the tongue. There are maybe some berry notes in the tart-tending bitterness, but balanced by an earthiness the turns into the rye-beer taste I expected. This taste is subtle, though, making an appearance but fading in the back.

This beer grew on me a bit as I drank it, but didn't jump out as anything special. I'd have it again and will try another of their beer.

Can at R.F.D. Murky brown pour with small skin of head. Difficult one here, so many elements in play. Rye ale and old ale come to mind. Musty, tart aroma . Taste comes in with some funk and wood. Mildly spicy with minor rye sourness. This one’s all over the board, but good.

Reddish brown appearance with a large cream colored rocky head and good lacing. Aroma of grains, especially the rye, leaves a lasting early impression. Spicy, floral hops prevail in the taste and linger in the finish. Body is a bit lighter than expected but far from disappointing.

12oz can served in a tulip. DoB 05/02/17. Given to me by @mr-jj.

Pours extremely dark amber (or a medium brown) with a big tan head and lots of slow carbonation. Looks thick. Smell is rye and spicy, maybe a hint of roast.

Taste is definitely on the roasty side, and definitely has rye character, but is overall kind of mellow -- not what I was expecting with a name like "Rowdy".

Mouthfeel is smooth and round and nice. Overall, pretty good beer.

Aggressive pour from a can resulted in a long lasting thick light mocha colored head. An aroma of caramel, rye bread, coffee and whiffs of cedar. Tastes of toffee with a faint black pepper background. The hop flavor was very mild. The mouthfeel was light to medium. Overall, a decent lightly flavored rye beer that is was easy to drink.
