Jet black with a dark brown head. This looks like a Russian imperial stout.

The aroma is of milk chocolate, vanilla and sweet lactose.

The taste is very sweet! It tastes like a Caribbean milk stout such as Dragon Stout or Stallion Stout. There is perhaps a bit more depth to this as it has a nice coffee bitterness and a chocolate cake like tatse.

Overall, a smooth, creamy, sweet milky stout. Maybe it's a Foreign Extra stout? One could argue it is a touch too sweet and I for one would prefer a Guinness Forein Extra for a stout of this strength as I prefer the roasted bitterness of that beer. This is clearly a good beer but I wasn't entirely convinced I liked it much more than a macro brewed Dragon Stout from Jamaica.

My mark out of one hundred would be 80.

Pours ink black with a very minimal mocha colored head wich is gone in a flash.Chocolate frosting is the key to the aromas with a hint of nuttiness underneath, that sweet chocolate really stands out. There is no carbonation to this brew...none,wich isn't a bad thing.A mix of chocolate frosting and dark roast coffee on the palate with neither bigger than the other,it's like cold pressed coffee with a large slice of devil's food chocolate cake. This beer freakin rocks.

Surprisingly, what made this beer for me was the cypress wood aging. I found it unique and I could really tell its presence on the palate. I'm curious if there are any other cypress wood ages beers. I would buy this agaIn.

Pitch black, visibly thick with a tall espresso head with good retention. Smells like roasted grains, dark chocolate, cocoa, dark cherries and a bit of vanilla. Tastes like dark chocolate, cocoa, dark cherries, espresso. Soft mouthfeel, medium carbonation and a bitter-sweet (mostly sweet) aftertaste.

Very dark brown almost black, with musky and chocolatey aromas. Heavy alcoholic and syrupy consistency similar to a black forest cake; heavy and sweet with cold coffee and papaya notes with roasted grains at the finish. Interesting.

No head, thick & dark, hints of sweet Raspberry. Delicious.

Taste is a little chocolate and a little dry on the finish. Not very good in my opinion. Cost was $7.75 for an 11.2oz bottle. Don't buy this, probably the most i have paid for a beer this mediocre.

Ridiculously sweet and chocolatey but very drinkable and interesting nonetheless.

Black color with mocha head. Aroma is really chocolaty, fudgy and sweet with some fruit notes. Taste starts sweet as well but not overly, just enough to make the chocolate and fruit notes shine more. Finish is more balanced by some dark chocolate and cacao flavors. Full bodied with smooth carbonation. A really tasty stout and I also like that it doesn't have a huge ABV.
