Pours a finger of head on a pale straw body.
The aroma is barnyard hay and cut grass.
The taste is watery, mild grain and a slight tart finish.
The texture is crisp.
The smell is great, but the taste was not.

Super carbonated, gusher right out of the fridge.
Dark hazy orange. Loose sudsy foam, dissipates after awhile. Tart lemon and light Bretty hay aroma.

Tart and crisp, some Brett yeast and carbed soda water. Mild lemon peel, earthy Brett funk. Light bodied, drinkable with a loose mineral water carbonation. Overall it pairs well with food and has a nice fnky presence. Thanks Thomas for sharing!

Thanks Kimmy/Kathy for opening up this puppy. Some age on it but in the fridge the whole time.

A- Pours from a 750ml into several stemmed glasses for a tasting with a mostly clear, very pale yellow body; seems like no coloring grains used. A very tall cap foams up after the bottle almost gushed out over three fingers with great retention. Spotty lacing while a pillow remains atop the brew indefinitely.

S- Dry barnyard straw tones, hay, with spicy and fruity Saison yeast tones folded in. Zesty, semi-tart lemons, pale crackery grains, grapefruit, yeast bread and peppercorns.

T- The main theme carries over with a dryness throughout only allowing a slight hint of longer chain sweet sugars. Lemons, pear and grapefruit bring on a large fruit contingent after the funky hay and barnyard opens it up; spicy throughout with pink peppercorn coming to mind as well as some cooking herbs. Bread, vinous grapes and apple as well.

MF- Puffy effervescent light body. Texture is both creamy and foamy with the beer really feeling rather cushioned. Slightly tart finish as well as zesty citrus bitterness. Insanely high carbonation.

Either a funky farmhouse strain or some Brett. Reminds me a touch of some of the tart Hill Farmstead Saisons with a complex blend of barnyard, spice and fruits. Pleasant and maybe the age helped it out a bit.

750ml bottle bought from Lighthouse Wines, Jordanstown

Poured a deep straw yellow colour with a slight haze. White head poured big, thick and fluffy and a steady stream of carbonation maintained a good covering throughout... some sticky lacing...

A lot going on in the aroma... lots of spicy yeast mixed with tart juicy fruits (pears, grapefruits, mangoes, limes), very floral, talcum powder notes, light honey and candy sugar sweetness, some earthy farmyard traces, hay, some rubberiness, raw nuts - walnuts and pistachios, fresh bread, some pine...

Taste - Tart spicy fruits (pears, grapefruits, apples), pithy notes, quite a lot of yeastiness, floral honey, quite perfumed, light earthy funk, grassy hops, chalky, faint coriander, peppery, some thyme herbalness, metallic, sea salt... flavours develop well as the beer warms up...

M&D - Pretty sharp and dry... Light body... Extremely refreshing very drinkable at 6%...

Overall - A top class Saison... As good as any i've had... recommended...
