Poured from a 500 ml bottle

Pour is a beautiful hazy amber color with a ton of thick white head. Took a couple pours to get it all into a glass.

The nose has a lot of lemon juice and lemon zest on it with some citrusy hops coming through. Great smell Tons of lemon sharpness similar to fresh lemonade.

The taste is incredible and unlike anything I've ever had. Anyone thinking this will be like a shandy or some beer + juice hybrid will be mistaken. It has such an overwhelming amount of clean lemon flavor that has a great amount of sour/tart bite to it. The lemon takes the wheel in this beer with the sourness rides shotgun.

Mouthfeel starts with a big bite from the carbonation that just adds and compliments the taste so well.

Overall a very different and surprising beer that I've been waiting to try since I first got to try it at the Worthy Burger last fall. Drinking it I would never think it was 9.1%. Maybe the lemon sharpness covers it up but I thought it was in the 5%-6% range.

Pours into an oversized wine glass a slight hazed tangerine color with a nice large fluffy white head atop. Not alot of sourness in the nose more like a sweetish lemonade with a hint of grass. The sourness comes thru on the palate with pithy lemon rind and oils with a strong lactic finish. Not a fan of all things sour...(except for vinegar based bbq) but it's easy to see the quality of this beer.

A 330ml bottle with a BB of Jan 2014. Picked up recently from Trembling Madness in York. A collaboration between Siren, Mikkeller and Hill Farmstead, this is described on the label as a soured beer that contains lactose, lemon juice/zest and tons of citrus hops. Oh yeah!

Poured into a Duvel tulip. Bottle conditioned. A hazy golden-amber hue with plenty of chunky sediment and light carbonation. Yields a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a few minutes before subsiding. Aroma of sharp citrus with notes of lemon, lime, grapefruit, acidic fruit, natural yoghurt, sourdough, earthy yeast, mild caramel malt and stewed hops. Tart, with a lingering sweetness in the background. Vaguely reminiscent of lambic/berliner weiss. Smells amazing.

Tastes of intense lemony goodness with a hoppy citrus character and a sharp bitter finish. Notes of lemon juice/zest, grapefruit, lime, peel, acidic citrus, natural yoghurt, sourdough, earthy yeast, caramel malt and stewed hops. Tart and highly attenuated, with a distinctly sour quality tempered by fruity sweetness. A strident bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly, with a tartness that dries the palate. Light carbonation but good body. Very astringent, followed by an aftertaste of acidic lemon, aromatic citrus, bitter hops and earthy yeast.

Stunning - a brew that pushes at the boundaries. A fusion of several styles that results in something new. It looks pretty good, but the aroma and flavour really bring it to life. Plenty of lemon and acidity, with intense fruit and aromatic hops alongside earthy yeast. Decent body, though increased carbonation would enhance the texture. An intriguing beer with no shortage of charisma - each sips suggests IPA, lambic, berliner weiss or fruit beer in turn. Complex and delicious; if you see it then don't pass up the opportunity to try it.

Poured into snifter at CB&D Baton Rouge.
A - amber-plum color with a small bubbly white head. Broken up lacing around the glass
S - you definitely get the lemondrop hops! Lemonhead candy mixed with a bready malt smell.
T - nice hop/malt balance. Some caramel malt. Lemonhead candy in the aftertsip. Slight tartness, soured citrus.
M - nice medium mouthfeel. Good carbonation.
O - really slick Imp IPA. The lemon is almost overwhelming.

Kinda all over the place but worth a try. Tart + funk + citrus + a bit sour. Wouldn't call it an IPA but some hops are there although hidden way in the background with everything else going on. A lacto yogurt creaminess is present in the mouthfeel.

Unusual, but quite an experience. Very refreshing, but handle with care (9.1 abv).

1 pint .9 oz into snifter

The beer captured the limoncello liquor very well. Tart limon with a bit of spice. No real recognizable parts of an ipa other than light body and not super malty. I would be curious how much of the citrus punch comes from hops. Overall a nice tart lemon zest flavor throughout.

500 mL bottle poured into a snifter. Spelled Lemon Cello IPA on the label.

Appearance - Hazy pale yellow. Nice white head. Medium collar and some surface wisps.

Smell - Lemony. Wow. Some citrus hops. More lemon. Very light pale malt.

Taste - Sharp lemon. Hops before it, though. Citrus hops. Lemon flavor overwhelms it. Pale malt gives it some sweetness. Lemon turns pithy and bitter and kinda tart.

Mouthfeel - Medium heavy body. Medium carbonation.

Overall - So it's good. It's got an intense lemon flavor that gets to be a bit too much. It's a very creative take, though.
