Cask The Barley Mow, Bristol - Pours clear copper. Nice lacing. Smell - oats, hint of pine, floral notes. Taste - oats, malty, light pine pulls through. strong bitter finish. Well balanced but too bitter for my tastes and the hops seemed subdued, possibly better in a bottle ?

Pours a vibrant orange colour. Aroma is mostly crisp hops and malts (oatmeal), citrus, and grapefruit. Very carbonated, clean malt (oatmeal) starches and citrus hops dominate the flavour. Grapefruit notes and a slightly sweet undertone are present as well.

Enjoyed form the bottle in a snifter via our friend from England---Thanks Keith!

Pours a lightly hazy amber touched golden color with a firm head of off white foam that settles to a thick ring, thin layer, and very nice lacing. Nose of citrus fruits of lemon and grapefruit, honey, and moderately strong grain notes. Flavors follow the nose with honey touched grains blending with a nice grapefruit note that fades on the back to a moderately bitter aftertaste. Medium high carbonation sears in the bitterness making for a nice mouth feel and finishes with a medium strong herbal bitterness. Very interesting for the style.

Cheers

Pours amber with a large lasting mousse-like head.
Nose shows floral and citrussy hops with some apple and peach blossom too. Light sweet malt underneath.
Less fruity flavours but with some grapefruit and spicy hops. A little sweet clean malt followed by a pretty assertive bitterness.
Carbonation is too high.

On-tap. Ā½ pt glass @ LĀ“Espumossa (Barcelona). Brass color, chill haze appearance. Off-white froth leaves spots on sides. Great aroma profile shows tropical fruit, resins, citrics, mild toasted malts, hay & cereal grains. Flavors as expected from aromas. Medium to full body. Moderate carbonation. Velvet palate with hints of nutmeg, lemon zest & grapefruit. Dried & slight spicy touch arises & lingers into a long bitter, resinous & citric finish. Fruits & green wood on the aftertaste. Resinous & flavorful !!

Bottle poured into Duvel Goblet
Unfiltered orange colour with thick white head which dissipates slowly leaving a little bit of lacing.

S - Cascade, Citrus and Grassy notes. Not much oatmeal. Almost like an IPA

T - Weak to start off with but as the bubbles help the flavour, cream cheese, sweet citrus hop finishing with a piney bitterness

M - Very Carbonated but goes down well.

Overall a good american pale ale
