this place is so awesome, a bit off the beaten path, tucked back into a little sort of industrial park area, not at all what i expected. for some reason in my mind i thought this would be one of those massive state of the art sort of places, you know, like surly or avery or that monument in windsor russian river just built for itself, a place like that, i always thought these guys were kind of huge, but the place is really humble, truly a working brewery and i love that. it makes it all the more impressive the reach they have had, the insanely ambitious beers they have put out, and some of the crazy collaborations they have been a part of, which is what first put them on my radar many years ago. this is just a tiny little taproom, seating for maybe twenty people inside, maybe, a handful of taps but not a massive draft selection, a coffee bar, and some coolers with packaged offerings, nobody really in there when we showed up, just employees. they have another seating area in a sort of detached building outside with more tables but it was totally empty when we were there. the brewery itself is in the back, people and forklifts milling about the whole time we sat and drank beers, this place is so modest, i cant even believe it. we had some amazing beers here, the suspended in loral hazy pale was delicious and a neat showcase of the hop, the storyboard cedar aged brown ale was downright epic, and the bottles we picked up were insane, some super long aged wild beer and some clever barrel aged blended strong ales, these guys really are continuing to push craft beer forward here. we had some really affordable but not amazing pizza here just to get something in the belly, unremarkable but its nice they offer something, they seem kind of remote from another food option. the service was solid, and the vibe was really mellow. i can see this place popping off in summertime with music outside and stuff, but it was so chill when we were there. this was one of my favorite beer experiences of our entire trip to europe, i have been a longtime fan of what they do and came away loving them even more. not to be missed for the adventurous palate!

Ultra-efficient internet delivery. I ordered at 1am on Thursday, it arrived next day at 9am this Friday morning via DPD Local couriers.
Comms with tracking are thorough and reliable from pressing 'Confirm order' right through to van arrival time count-down, to arrival to even a retrsopective pic sent of 'here's a pic of your beer delivery you opened the door for 10 mins ago, sitting in your buildings entrance hallway downstairs'.
If only more beer deliveries were as transparent and efficient as theirs!

My only brewery I visited while in the UK (Bracknell is a craft beer desert), and it was a good choice. I was the only one in the taproom early one Thursday, but when work started coming to an end there was an endless stream of people coming in to get a pint, mix six and growler fills. Definitely interesting compared to the US. There are no packaged 4/6 packs, everything was in singles. Vibe was cool, similar to a US brewery in a lot of ways, and the tap selection as well, other than the fact that most of their beers on the board were in the 4.5 to 5.5 range which was good. Bartenders were nice, as were brewery employees (one helped me sort out how to grab a bus back). Everything I had on tap was good to great, a Pale Ale in the 4.5% range, a tart pale ale, a saison and then a semi pastry stout (would rival Prairie Artisan). I could see spending a lot of time hanging out here. Was worth the uber/bus trip to make my trip across the pond memorable. Also brought back the pastry stout and their Maiden BA Barley wine. Also want to note that they had approx 25 different beers in the cooler for take away, or for 2 pounds, you can drink it there.
