Style: New England IPA

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 7.00%

Availability: Rotating

Notes / Commercial Description:
This is the biggest, juiciest IPA we’ve ever made. This unfiltered gem has a slight haze with huge tropical and citrus flavors, but is surprisingly smooth for such an aggressive amount of American and Aussie hops. As East Coast IPAs continue to evolve we added our own take, to make sure the party just don't stop.

Pale gold with a light unfiltered haze and a a big-as-ya-want-it head of white; lotsa lace trails linger... Aromas both citrus and tropical with a floral accent are followed with a juicy, moderately bitter splash of flavors... Mild honey-like sweetness on pale malt with soft, ripe fruit impressions and a flowery bouquet... Soft, smooth, and light, with ample carbonation and a great finish. Crafted in NY, brewed in Boston, featuring unspecified American and Australian hops...

Canned 9/23/17

Pours a huge frothy 2.5 finger head that fades at a med pace, a little sticky lacing, very murky golden blond color

Nose juicy tropical citrus, a bit of tangerine, mango sorbet, creamy orange cream, creamy wheat, almost lemony or maybe meyer lemon, pineapple, a bit floral,

Taste brings more citrus, a bit of grapefruit, plenty of tangerine, some pith, tropical pineapple and a bit of mango skin, some grape skin, a bit musty, juicy fruit, bitter spicy hops as well, a bit grassy, mild creamy wheat and toasted base malt. Finishes drier a bit more cracked wheat and yeast, very spicy hop and fair bitterness

Mouth is med bod, a bit soft and creamy, fluffy, decent carb

Overall not bad, some NEIPA notes, some east coast and west coast bitterness as well, hops kick up a bit too much on the back end for my tastes but that's prob what they were going for, and the only thing I'm actually not a fan of is the yeast flavor on the back end. Otherwise enjoyable.

Tall can, no dating info to be had

Typical NE style IPA look to this one...clouded, medium orangy amber, moderate light khaki head, lasting nicely and then leaving high quality looking sheeting and lace splattered all over the glass

Tropical sniff

Super fresh, tasty and highly enjoyable cloudy, juicy, tropical IPA...go get some if you see it available by you

Pours cloudy, gold in color with one inch head. Taste is lime, orange, and a bit of husk and pale malt. Medium bodied, slightly bitter, and medium carbonation. Above average ipa. I prefer several others, but this is decent. That said, I will probably stick to local favorites over this one.

This beer has an entertaining name. It also has a great smell and an okay taste. It pours a golden color, and has a citrus smell that is pleasing. On tasting, it appears to be a pineapple flavor. Unfortunately, the taste an mouthfeel could use a little refinement.

If this beer saves robots by drinking it, then I have done my duty.

Bottom of can: "RPSTR16-ah 9/24/18 Opened on 10/20/18

A gold and yellow color with white and orange highlights. Seriously dense, all white clumpy foam. Totally hazed-out but not muddy. Good lace, plenty of coverage.

Big time tropical fruits aroma w/ oranges, banana and woody scented hops all over my face. Sour nectarines, creamy but grainy golden malt scent rounds it out. The fruity and citric hops are show cased well.

The grainy citrus side of the hoppy flavor hits you first, decent, woody bitter, alpha toned taste and puckering effect from the hops. The hops slide into a very earthy, grainy hop finish, with lemmon and sour notes after that. The light, golden crispy malt brings more earth-grains with a bite. Feels light and crisp, dry middle, slightly sharp medium bodied approach. Tangy citrus, sharp herbals and sour fruits round it all out. Complexity is medium-high overall and for how deep the hops flow.

Overall, the hops make up a very unique sour, punchy, citric and grainy combined effect that hits hard at first but does not follow up with more layers. Big bitter alpha bang for an East coast stylie.

Very light and golden hazy color with light head from a growler. Smell and taste of ample floral hops. It has an earthy lingering taste. This is an enjoyable IPA.

Bought a can at the Beer Shop in East Longmeadow, MA. Beer pours with a light yellow appearance with a pretty big head that dissipates but there is some thick, patchy lacing. Orange zest aromas with some light florals. Taste follows the nose with a creamy texture of citrus orange-grapefruit. Overall, this was pretty good with its mouthfeel and smell.

A: The beer is hazy yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a two finger high frothy bright white head that died down, leaving a short head covering the surface and lots of lacing around the edges of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of citrus and tropical fruit hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of orange citrus along with a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and slightly crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This can definitely be classified as an East Coast IPA as the beer is "juicy" and isn't overly bitter.

On tap at Relish in Kings Park, NY, it pours clear yellow gold color with a small off white head that faded average time but left excellent lacing coating the sides, leaving rings as it went down.

Smells of fresh citrus fruit, grapefruit, lemon zest, tangerine, light caramel, biscuit, grass, faint piney hops, light peppery spices and fresh floral hops. Really nice hoppy nose that's smells fresh hopped or like it was extra dry hopped.

Tastes like clementine, grapefruit, orange peel, light coriander and lemon zest up front, caramel, biscuit, graham cracker, brown sugar, sweet malt, fresh cut grass, cracked wheat, peppery spices and nice dry floral hops. Well balanced, fresh tasting and overall quenching and enjoyable.

Light, crisp and zesty feeling with light carbonation, it was slightly bitter with nice citrus residual flavors lingering as it fades semi-dry. Hides the ABV masterfully making it quite sessionable. Nice beer, a solid local offering.
