Style: American IPA

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 5.00%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
If an IPA and a Pale Ale had a baby Junior would be it. Starting with a solid malt backbone of four varieties of grains, which are complimented by a heady dose of hops with an eclectic mix of citrus, tropical, and floral aromas. This all makes for an easy drinking beer that’s full of hop flavor.

If you're picky about your pints, this is the beer for you.

Brief initial impression from a can purchased as part of a 6 pack in Brooklyn for $9.79 plus tax and deposit:

Citrus (especially orange pulp) and pine are at the forefront here.

Mouthfeel is clean, smooth, wet, medium-bodied, and refreshing.

Drinkable, with a throwback citrus emphasis redolent of citrus-focused Californian IPAs (I guess the kids these days call them West Coast IPAs, nevermind Washington's disproportionately low contribution). Far from stellar, and it's tough to shell out $9.79 per sixer when vastly superior expressions of the style from the likes of Lagunitas or Bear Republic can be had for $0.50 more, but it's enjoyable for what it is. I'll reserve a final opinion until I can try it fresh on-draught, but with the wide availability of preferable brews in this oversaturated style, that'll be a long time.

12oz can to an imperial nonic glass
Extra from mdfb79- thanks Dan

Never even heard of these guys before…

The body is a pale gold straw colour with some mild hop haze and a dense creamy tan meringue that settles over top. The nose gives impressions of fresh grass clippings, sappy pine sprigs, and an herbal bouquet with mild citrus fruit and floral accents. There is a bit of white grapefruit and orange to it draped over a backbone of honey bread and caramel-like malt sweetness. Flavor follows suit with tangerine and orange zest encased in a grassy hop and evergreen forest. Malt stands firm with its bready grounding and caramel candy sweetness. Finishes with a smooth but firmly gripping bitterness. This one has some nice balance to it with the alcohol kept well disguised.
Medium to lower bodied but giving a fuller impression due to the rich starchy malts, the beer remains creamy and well carbonated with a dry crisp finish. Overall this is a quality Pale Ale with some nice hop flavors.

Poured from a can (I'll upload the picture later) into a glass, it displays a nice golden orange color, frothy white head that thins out halfway. The lacing is thin.
Good stuff going on in the nose; juicy, citrusy, orange, grapefruit, pineapple. There is some resiny and dank hops aroma.
Clean and crisp with a piny hops foundation that is delightfully smooth, moderate and not aggressive. Although mostly hops forward, some malt sweetness is felt in the finish. The overall palate is dry. The body is medium light and quite drinkable.
This is a really nice and session able IPA that is not overly complex but quite tasty.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. And yes, that can did come from the Mario Lemieux of canned beer, woodychandler. Has a golden color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of grapefruit, pine. Taste is identical to the aroma, Very little malts, mild bitterness. Feels medium/light bodied in the mouth and overall a decent beer.

Perfectly fine, well named session IPA. Try 1.

A: From can, a hazy bright yellow-gold body with a temporary foamy 1 finger white head which faded slowly, and layered and laced.

S Mild but fruity. Smells of grapefruit, pine, biscuit, lemon zest, flowers and floral hop.

T Tastes like the smell, but with more - grapefruit, lemon, fresh pine, biscuit, cracker, and floral hops then some light white pepper, coriander and more green forest leaves. Nicely balanced. Great afternoon beer.

F Mouthfeel is light, crisp and zesty.
