Martin House PilsMartin House Pils
Notes: The Ultra Premium Lager Beer. We’ve dreamt of having a year-round pilsner available here at Martin House for quite a while now. It took many test batches to perfect the MH Pils and we’ve landed on a solid, flavorful pilsner that you can enjoy all day long. This easy drinking, summer sipper is available starting February 2019 and forever in 6packs and on draft. Cheers!

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden color with a one finger head of white foam. The head fades rather fast leaving a trace of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is strongest of bready smell mixed with some aromas of caramel and some light grain. Along with these smells comes a touch of hay and a little bit of grass.
Taste – The taste begins with a lighter, but caramel sweet and slightly crackery taste that contains flavors of a light yeast and some grain. As the taste advances the graininess gets slightly stronger while some light tastes of earth and hay come to the taste, leaving one with a crisp and clean taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is light and crisp with a carbonation level that is rather high. For the flavors and the style the feel is rather well done and makes for a refreshing easy drinker.
Overall – A light and slightly sweeter pils with a great flavor profile overall. A nice summer session brew.

Looks: golden with solid, sustained head and highly carbonated first half of beer.
Smell: lemon zest, lightly hoppy
Taste: like a lightly hopped pilsner (hard to describe pilsners for me), lemon
Feels: light, crisp, easy
Overall: light and sessional pilsner that you could drink all day on a summer night

12oz canned 2-26-19
3/4" white dense, foamy head. Retains well and rests as a cap after 2 minutes. Straw gold, somewhat hazy.
Bready, cracker aroma. Light floral notes, lemongrass, lime and spicy subtle hops. Hint of sulfur.
Light bready malt and a subtle spicy, grassy hop flavor. Restrained is the word I'm searching for. Good session beer potential.
Medium body, almost an unfiltered mouthfeel. Not quite pilsner crisp. Slight tangy lemon/citrus in the finish.
4.2% = definitely sessionable and crushable. Somewhere between a Helles and a Pilsner, I like it.
