I had a couple of these at the FS in Ft Worth. I always like to try the local beers and they have at least 20 or so on tap.

Served in a 16 oz. pint glass, the beer is black with a sticky light brown head.

It has a nose of roasted malts and dark fruit.

The beer is slightly sweet with charred malts. There are raisins and very ripe apples. I’m not sure where the pretzels come in, but after drinking a couple, I would like a bowl with some mustard please.

Mouth is thickish and the beer is pretty quaffable.

16 oz tall-boy pours an opaque black color with a dense cap of brown head. Excellent retention and interconnecting sheets of lace...an impressive-looking stout.

Nose shows a nice balance of hops and malt - chocolate and bread dough mingle with grass and herbs. Smells like it has a bit of sweetness to it, but a fair amount of roast to counter it.

Taste is smoother than I thought...wow - Im impressed. The chocolate and roast hit first and are followed by a lingering grassy bitterness. The pretzels make a fair showing...as much as can be expected at least, there is a certain doughy quality that definitely helps the mouthfeel. This is quite good and certainly more than a mere gimmick brew. I'll be more than happy to pick up another sixer of this.

Dark black, brown head. Nose is bready, chocolate and toasty sweet. Chocolate tast, roast, pretzel, slight toast, mild bitterness. Medium bodied, high drink ability.

It's a great stout, and you can notice the pretzel bread and it works. Delicious.

Pint poured some of this and it presented deep dark brown body with a tanned fluffy head. Solid lacing.
Smells like bread, roasted coffee and some dark chocolate and licorice too. All good stuff but somewhat muddled.
Tastes like hoppy roasted coffee, then some chocolate, and it's all backed by the pretzel bread effect that somewhat resembles a pretzel I suppose? Muddled in flavor as well though, because I'm tasting mostly coffee grinds, and somewhat sour at that (after getting past the milk stout-like choco-intro.
Feels medium to lightly carbonated and slick.
Overall it's an ok beer, but I was expecting a strong resemblance to pretzel and I didn't get that. This brewery's Daybreak, which surprisingly lived up to its claim of tasting like breakfast cereal, is what led me to picking up a can of this stout.
Maybe I'll try it again with a different impression. As of now, just ok to me.
