This is a convenient store that has a significant portion of its space dedicated to beer. The selection is terrific off the shelf or singles in the cooler. The selection rivals if not surpasses most neighborhood Spec's (a major liquor store chain in Houston and Texas). I've gotten Black Butte XXVI, Prairie Wine Barrel Noir, Anchor Porter (very hard to find in Houston), Founders limited/seasonal and similar tough finds. They keep the collectibles under lock and key! The beer guy so-to-speak is very friendly and knowledgable. Yes, the prices are a little steep (just paid $19 for 2014 Mirror Mirror, not too bad; Prairie Bomb! is $9.99 per bottle) but weigh that against gas mileage (this place is within a mile of me) and accessibility to some of the special brews out there and in some cases it's a bargain. The only reason I didn't rate service a 4.75 or 5 is because while the staff is friendly and helpful, only the beer guy really knows beers, so if he's not there, you lose that kind of assistance. Plus, it's a convenient store, which dampers the vibe a bit and also is a pull on help if you've got some questions. But overall, this is a gem of a place.

One of the very best beer selections I have ever seen anywhere! Never mind it's only a gas station. You'll always find a few rare items that 99% of the places out there won't have. Also, really appreciate the pick & choose singles to build your own six-pack. Very extensive with many appealing choices! Store also has a great selection of fine wine along with other beverage and food items. Keep in mind, prices are a bit steep since it is a gas station. But if you just want to go to one place for beer with a huge selection, this is about as good as it gets for the state of Texas.

This place has a ton of beer. They still have SA DR13, 9 months after its release. There are some other beers here that I have not seen at Specs, HEB, or D&Q. It seems the distributors for this location get a few west coast beers that BEK and SE don't distribute. Definitely a major win for people like me that live on the NW side. This is a convenience store and gas station, so of course the beer is marked up a bit. A few beers are actually competitively priced, but not all of them. Since this is a gas station, they are open more often than Specs. Getting to this location from 290 during traffic hour sucks, so check this place out before 4 or after 630 during the weekdays (or on your way home at any time, as my luck would have it).

Best selection of Craft beer around. Located in NW Houston - Copperfield. They post all their new beers on Facebook and Twitter when they arrive. They also have a tablet online to check any of the beers to get instant info on the beer as well as user reviews to help the selection process on new beers. Over 160 different beers to build your own six pack. The place is a GEM for new and limited beers.
