A heavily hopped beer brewed using home-baked malt. Triporteur From Heaven is the modern version of traditional hopped ale. It is a heavenly beer brewed with home-baked BOM malt. The wheat malt in the unfiltered beer can produce a light cloudiness. The taste of Heaven remains evolving in the bottle.
Heaven gets is distinctive hoppy aroma from the European aromatic hop varieties East Kent Golding and Styrian Golding, and from the American Cascade hop. Early hop: East Kent Golding, Styrian Golding. Late hop: East Kent Golding, Styrian Golding, Cascade. Dry hop: Cascade, Styrian Golding.
The From Heaven was the first real Triporteur we brewed. Before this beer brewed an In Heaven, but this beer was only created as an try-out. The Hell was already developed when the from Heaven came on the market. This is shown by the devil who is already in the background of the label. He is running to show his beer to the baker. The recipe of this beer didn’t changed since the startup. We wanted to brew a modern version of a Belgian Blond beer. In Belgium we use the word blond for a beer what is light colored, it doesn’t matter what kind of style it really is. So it is blond, but the style? Did you know we are using an angel on the label when we use baked malt?

Amber golden color with a thin head with medium retention.
Aroma with notes of Belgian yeast, herbs, pine, pears and floral soap.
Flavor with notes of floral and piney hops, Belgian yeast, herbs, candied sugar, orange-lemon tartness, white grapes, wheat, a bit of white pepper, mint and pears. Dry and bitter aftertaste.
Light body with slightly effervescent carbonation.
Better balanced Belgian Pale Ale given a handful of floral hops. I found it similar to Ommegang BPA with a touch of Sorachi hops. Nice.

Found in the basement of indeterminate age, it pours a hazy amber with a nice white head that slowly dissipates. In the nose, pleasant and enticing. In the mouth, it is smooth and tasty. Easy to drink. Yum!

I finally got to Heaven ! And it is better than Hell ! But, I like them both.
BOMBrewery produces both as a gypsy, yet seems to use a similar yeast... pretty rich. And fragile as Heaven seems to be past its prime; but was still active, still kicking up fruit, still making the malt be the best it could be.
As for the 4 elements... Looks darker than a dishwater blonde; but has good protein swirls. Smells are fruit and yeast and sweet malt. Tastes discern the fruit as apple-like, very balanced; just enough spices. In the mouth, fruity smooth.
Only my second from BOMBrewery, I like their style. Gypsies are generally cool. The founder is a consultant to other brewers also and has this BOM package that is oriented to getting the malt selected and baked best for the situation; all of which makes sense. I'd like to see BOMBrewery's ales more often in the Chicago. I found Heaven at Binny's Lincoln Park.

Poured from a brown 11.2 oz. bottle. Has a muddy river color with a 1 inch head and some floaties. Smell is of grapes, apples, malts. Taste is of tart apples, sour drapes, light malts, a bit unusual. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer.

Has a sharp amber colored body with a high and tight tan froth that breaks up slowly and leaves chunks of lace behind. vanilla, faint hops, grass, light fruits and Green apple, white grape, plum, burnt sugar, cotton candy and grain flow across the tongue. It finishes with a faint but lingering slightly sour fruitiness. Medium in body with little to no alcohol noticed.
Good for a try of something a bit different.
Won't stoke the IPA or Sour fanboys, but expanding your palate isn't always about pushing it to it's limits.
