On tap at Acoustic Ales brewhouse. They call this a "Belgian strong blonde ale." Bartender says it is brewed with some wheat plus the Belgian yeast.
Handsome amber color in the tulip with a pleasant spritzy mouthfee. Light body.
Flavor is like Brett at the start. A really tangy fruit flavor. Actually it's quite a banana flavor. Mellow and malty with just a touch of acidity. the yeast does dry this out finally.
A pleasant fruity quaff. The alcohol is not so evident. Some malty sweetness lingers.

With a vivid gold color, it has subtle flavors of dark biscuits, honey, starfruit, bubblegum and a hint of dried fruits and grapefruits. This beer gets yeastier and opaquer when nearing the bottom, where all the delicious yeasts are. The aroma follows the taste buds with the refreshing, albeit very subtle, aftertaste. The subtle carbonation and great mouthfeel is very fitting for the style though. Speaking of which, this taste more like a Tripel as it’s pretty close to white wine with some balanced malt tones. It does get more grapefruit bitter after a while, but it tastes like a milder, less bitter version of a Carmelite. Another recommended beer similar to this is the Long Strange Tripel from Boulevard Brewing in Kansas City, which tastes just like a Tripel straight from Belgium!

Bottled on 7/9/15.
Pours a hazy honey orange with a foamy khaki head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Thin streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of wheat, banana, caramel, spice, and yeast aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly tangy wheat, banana, caramel, and spice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that reminds me of a hefeweizen, but the slight tartness in the taste is unexpected.
Serving type: bottle.
