An Imperial Chocolate Oatmeal Stout brewed with Kopi Luwak Coffee + Belgian milk chocolate, brown sugar and molasses.

Pours from the bomber pitch back with a massive coffee stained head that sticks to the glass. Loads of roastiness in the nose ranging coffee grounds, chocolate. Viscous and chewy. Very dry with notes of cherries, herbal, tangy molasses, bitter chocolate, acrid, hint of smoke and a spicy, peppery linger.

Overall this is a good Stout, but it's missing what you'd expect from an Imperial Stout. The flavors are quite soft, the finish is a bit thin and there's perhaps too much going on. It's also quite bitter and lacks a solid, malty backbone. As in, there's a lot of ingredients being thrown at it, but none of them are bold enough to standout.

Bottle printed with, "bottled on 15327 KOPI," which I assume means March 3, 2015. Opened and poured on August 28, 2016.
Jet black base beer that looks a little bit thin. The head if frothy with large bubbles, and it leaves tons of lacing on the glass.
On the nose, there plenty of European dark chocolate and hops. I can also smell the sugar, but it smells a bit like a Mikkeller stout. Sadly, there is absolutely no coffee in the smell. If it was bottled over a year ago, then I can only assume that the coffee has completely faded.
The flavor is quite similar. It has plenty of cocoa powder, roasted malt, and hops. It comes across like a solid imperial chocolate stout. However, I wouldn't be able to say that it's an oatmeal stout or a coffee stout.
Oatmeal stouts often have a nice, soft roundness to them, but this one comes across a bit thin with a bite at the end.
Overall, I'd say it's a decent if middle-of-the-road chocolate stout. I wish I could have tried one when it was fresh and, presumably, the kopi luwak coffee would have come through clearly. A year and a half later, it's just sort of generically bitter without any coffee character.

Have been sitting on this for 2 years.

A; opaque; deep brown in color; 1 finger medium brown head that receded to a thin collar; very little lacing;

S: milk chocolate with coffee behind it;

T: all coffee through the middle; then a blend of coffee and milk chocolate through the finish; mild bitterness at the end; as it warmed, the blend of coffee and chocolate came out earlier and earlier;

M: medium to full bodied; light to moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;

O: very enjoyable;

At the tasting room. This stout is their Unplugged Stout base (I guess) and some Kopi Luwak added. Also, it's $1 an ounce, so $5 for a tiny taster.
