On tap at the Albany Tap Room.

Pours a murky brown amber juicy looking liquid. High lacing low head.

Wow. The aroma on this is one of the best I've ever smelled! Absolutely smells like tropical juice. Mango, pineapple and papaya. After taking a sip and smelling again I do pick up on piney dankness.

The taste lingers on intense bitterness a bit too much. Up front I do get a lot of grass, wood and pine. Tropical fruits have submerged from the nose but still very much there. Red malt is almost not noticeable.

Mouthfeel is smooth and round.

Overall I like this beer because it packs a fruit punch of hops. Another one of those beers that from the smell, my brain was primed for juice and was slightly disappointed when my liquid was a bitter treat instead.

Draft @ The Office on 1/23/15. Pours amber in color with minimal head. Aroma is strongly caramel, malt with some floral, citrus, and pineapple. Mouthfeel is medium to thin. Flavor is floral, citrus, grapefruit peel, malty, carmel with a lingering heavy bitterness. Not a particularly balanced offering, nor did I get the dankness that I would expect from the name "ganja juice."

Draft at Ale Arsenal. Cloudy/muddy red pour with a thin cap. Huge hop aromatics, C-hop pine mixed with dank and slight tropical notes. Dankness and resin are most prominent here, and there's surprisingly little malt despite the color. The palate shows a bit more fruit, somewhat peach-like with plenty of dankness and resinous pine along with a bit more sweetness than the aroma suggests. Without being too high on IBUs, this has a shit-ton of hop flavor and aroma that manages to nearly overwhelm the substantial malt backbone. Pretty damn good, one of the better hoppy red ales out there.

Got ahold of this lovely little brew at Final Gravity Taproom and bottleshop in Granite Bay CA. Beautiful deep amber color, a terrific hop/malt balance, and an aroma that will make ya paranoid (-; The name says it all, cant wait for this beer to become more acquirable.

10oz pour into snifter at THG.

A: Pours a burnt copper color with an oily and dense dark tan head that faded into a wispy film. Sheets of spotty sticky lace were left down the glass.
S: Hops dominate the nose but there is a nice lightly toasted quality. Hops smell resinous and with a good dose of grapefruit bitterness.
T: Hops are a combination of juicy citrus mixed with resinous, greasy, super fresh floral hops. Malt is toned down for a red ale but I get hints of bread crust, toast, and slight caramel. The finish is leafy and has a touch of powdery chocolate and faint leather. The aftertaste is roasted but mostly juicy, greasy, semisweet and bitter. Nice lingering sweet fruity residual sweetness.
M: Medium body with a sticky and oily mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. Solid bitterness. Nice greasy sweetness. Bitterness isn't overpowering. Very balanced for being so potent.
O: Very fruity and super hoppy. Hop oil coats my mouth and is pleasant to drink. Drinks more like a dipa, although there is a solid bit of roast.
