Teaming up with Goodguys Rod & Custom Association we came up with an easy drinking, light, hop forward session ale for the 29th West Coast Nationals. 100% Golden Promise malt gives the beer a solid malt base and a golden color, while the 100% Citra hops gives the beer a soft bitterness with a balanced hop flavor and aroma. Notes of citrus and tropical fruit make this beer perfect for those hot days at the show.

Canned 7/25/18, consumed 8/6/18
L: Hazy light gold color with a small head that didn't leave much lacing. Like a light lager color but with the haze.
S: Bright fruity but light and a bit muted
T&F: Taste is stronger but still kind of light, fruity with a little bit of herbal and floral notes. Light and thin, slightly sweet, small amount of bitterness.
O: Looks and smells light but overall a decent fruity pale ale.

On tap at McGullicuddy’s, Essex Junction, VT. Not sure why, but they poured it into a snifter. The rest is based on observations because of incorrect glassware. The appearance was a glossy yellow color with a thin layer of white foamy head but that just dissipated into oblivion. No lace. The aroma takes on some citrus, super subtle pine and an underscore of danky onion. The flavor blends the sweet danky onion to the citrus and let’s the pine come in finely. No aftertaste but a quick semi-sweet finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation moves nicely, fairly low. Overall, pretty good APA that I would have again.

Pint at THG.
A: Pours a slightly hazy, bright lemon golden color with a finger of soft white head that faded to a thin collar. A few spots of soapy lace were left down the glass.
S: Nose is full of fresh citra hops with notes of citrus, slight melon, and sweet tropical fruit nectar. Mildly spicy and earthy.
T: Dominating citra notes as expected with flavors of ambiguous citrus mixed with a kiss of tropical fruit. Fruit flavors carry through to the aftertaste along with a clean and crisp crackery malt backbone. Slight melon in the finish.
M: Drying mouthfeel, crisp and very clean carbonation, medium-light body. Drinks very well. Drying.
O: Super clean and easy beer. Very crisp and refreshing with a huge hop punch.
