One of the best tasting IPAs out there. Really hope someday you all get to try this treat. Super delicious

Canned 01/10/18

Appearance - Pours slightly hazy and golden yellow in color with an off-white, near finger width head. Fair retention results in a thin, broken layer of suds with a ring encircling the edge of the glass. The lacing consists of patches of small spots, broken lines and rogue spotting found here and there.

Smell - Bright, lemony citrus with hints of floral character and some faint bready sweetness.

Taste - Follows the nose. Bright citrus that leans toward a lemony kick, while hints of orange peak through. Mild floral qualities and a generic 'white bread' malt backbone. Finish lingers with mild lemon and bready sweetness with a faint trace of caramel.

Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair, tingly carbonation. Slick, stupid easy drinker with an easy finish.

Overall - A good, super drinkable IPA. Unique, though a bit more complexity would be nice to see as the flavor profile a bit simple.

Not many IPA's that stand tall on my list, this is one of them though. Been a staple for me for a while now, I love the citrus, dangerously smooth. Its my go to IPA because its so consistent, 64oz growler never goes to waste. Also, conceptually a cool name too, when sitting at the tap house I hear fly fishermen educating people questioning the name.

First of all, this particular can (and maybe this whole 4 pack since this is 2 for 2) was way over carbonated. Cans have been in my fridge for 2 or so hours since walking them home from the store and this one still exploded and I couldn't even get the pint can into a 22 oz glass. That side, here's my review.
Look is a very lovely amber tinted straw with a very robust snow white head that hangs around and will mound up 1/2 in above the glass rim without spilling.
Smell is light and pleasant. Crisp hoppy citrusness, bright but not especially strong.
Taste is one of my favorite for IPAs, there is a bright, tart, bitter hop flavor that is balanced by a floral sweetness. The whole flavor carries the signature of hops without being overly bitter. Has a flavor that would fit with the label 'session' without shorting you on IPA power.
Feel is rich but clean for such a strong brew. Rolls over the tongue without overwhelming and delivers a robust flavor without bogging down the tongue in a malty syrup. Again, reminiscent of a much lighter beer in a great way.
These guys are a great newcomer in the norcal scene. This is a true gem in the overcrowded world of west coast IPAs, at home in a craft beer bar at 6 bucks a pint or on the river on a hot summer day at 3 bucks a can.

Copper color pour, mostly white 1/2" head on the top, good clarity. Aroma didn't smack of anything exotic or proprietary hop wise, there seems to be a solid medley going on, but not of the new aromatic type of hops. You got the usual C hop citrus grapefruit notes and a mild amount of tropical notes.

Same with the taste, good levity, not overly done caramel and crystal malts. Some treeness to the hops too. This is like an old school ipa without the push to get to 100 ibu or heavy crystal malts. Does carbonation well, and a relatively dry body. Bomber format I could do without, but worth checking out I would say. If this was in a 12oz format 4/6 pack, it would raise the score slightly.

Excellent IPA poured in pint glass from bomber. Nice quarter inch head IPA pour pretty clear. Smelled of floral hops and citrus. Taste was delish. Nice balance that pulled some of the bitterness away with the finish. Medium, smooth and earthly with nice hoppy afterglow. Yum!

Another amazing beer from this brewery. Pours amber/orange with a foamy tan head. Mostly clear, medium body, sheet lacing. Aroma is caramel malt and citrus. Well balanced these two in the flavor. Plenty of hops, grapefruit and pine. But enough malt to sweeten and smooth things out. Juicy mouthfeel with just the right amount of hops bitterness in the aftertaste. Excellent!
