Pours a foggy orange-copper with two fingers of khaki foam. Head retention is decent. Aroma is nutty, earthy, crackery malts, yeast esters, and modest herbal, spicy, and earthy malts. Flavor profile is earthy, nutty, crackery, bready malts and spicy, earthy, herbal, citrusy hops. There is a light and modest yeast quality that becomes more apparent at the end of the flavor profile. Mouth feel is fuzzy, with a light grainy texture. Overall, pretty darn straightforward. Earthy qualities are a little musty though.

Served in a 15.5oz Spiegalau tulip from a 12oz can.

Welcome to my Happy New CANned Beers From @jkblr Sunday (Week 725)! I have not been doing much trading of beers lately & I stopped purchasing through Tavour since a) I have amassed QUITE a backlog & b) there is SO much available locally that I don't feel CANpelled to trade. @tone77 was by over the holidays to do a drop-off & pick-up + a nice package arrived from @jkblr the other day with his beers being my focus today.

From the CAN: "Pours a gorgeous deep Blonde with a silky, creamy white head. Pleasantly sweet Honey Malt perfumes from deep inside this sexy brew. Special Pale Malts create a submissive body that is light enough for you to take this Harlot one session after another."; "12 IBU's [sic]".

I gave her a good, loud Crack! but she seemed a little shaken up after her journey to PA from the Midwest. I went with a gentle C-Line Glug for which she rewarded me with the formation of just over a finger of dense, foamy, rocky, eggshell-white head with good retention, leaving behind some nice lacing as it fell. Color was a gorgeous ... I debated on this, but I really have to put it down as a solid Amber (SRM = > 7, < 9) with NE-quality clarity. It was just too deep to call it "Gold". Nose was redolent with Honey Malt! It smelled like freshly-baked bread cooling on the windowsill as honey is drizzled over it! I love that smell. It takes me back to summers at my maternal grandparents while both of my parents had day jobs. I learned how to cook from both of my grandmothers, but baking was my forte. Mmm. Mouthfeel was medium, about par for this particular course. The taste followed the nose nicely - rich with a bready malt sweetness laced with honey and a cereal-like quality. It was like one of my late-Pops' favorite breakfasts: Cheerios drizzled with honey! Mmm. Man, did this take me back! Finish was semi-sweet, thankfully not outright sweet, which I would not have liked as much. As it stands, this would be a great CANdidate for filling the beach-bound cooler on a hot, humid Summer's day or for the upcoming Hula In the Coola Day (01 Febrewary, annually). It makes me want to dance! YMMV.

Harlot has a thin, off-white head, a mostly opaque, semi-translucent orange appearance, tight bubble streams, no sediment, and no glass lacing. Aroma is of very faint pale malt, and the flavor is of water and a touch of malt. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Harlot finishes crisp and dull.

A hazy mix between blonde and amber in color as a nod to the honey. high head and carbonation. Poured from a can.
I am not a fan of this style but figured to try it out at low price point and I am not disappointed. A good summer beer. Approachable style for the domestic drinkers. I would never offer them my favorite types of beers.

Oh, this is a good one. Two finger head, orangish, yellow with a smooth down flow, silky honey flavor, just enough to remind you what you are drinking, but not overbearing. Quite special.

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This decent session blonde pours a
very nice clear amber/golden color with a nice head of quickly dissipating
foam that settles to a thin ring, thin layer, and very light lacing. Nose of
moderate grains and light sweet malts mixed with tin and light herbal hop
notes with a touch of breaded malts. Flavors follow the nose minus the tin
with light breaded malts, medium grain notes on the rear, subtle sweet malts,
and a light herbal hop note on the rear. Nice mouth feel, smooth, crisp, medium
carbonation that is lightly prickly, and a clean light grain touched finish.

Overall, a decent ale that is good for the non-adventurous among us.
Great after mowing the lawn I would surmise, then again, tis' winter time so
after a hot shower will have to do.

Cheers

Bought to get out of my store because it doesn't sell well despite the decent price point of 5.99 4 pack. 01 29 15 is on the bottle. I ordered it in February so Im guessing it's the bottle on date. Poured into my taco Mac pint glass. Golden clear orange with small inch head that doesn't leave much lacing. Smell is bready and has a hint of sweetness. Taste follows similiarily. Light and watery but a good beer. Very drinkable and refreshing. Cheers!

Pours a clear, gold color. 1/3 inch head of an off-white color. Decent retention and decent lacing. Smells of pale malt, hint of sweet malt, slight citrus, slight floral, slight hops, and a hint of yeast. Fits the style of an American Blonde Ale. Mouth feel is smooth and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of strong pale malt, slight sweet malt, hint of hop, slight floral, and a hint of yeast. Overall, decent appearance, good aroma and feel, but the body is much less complex and mostly pale malt.
