I'm from the Evansville area but just recently got interested in the local brews (Tin Man and Crason's). This was the first beer I tried from Carson's. At first I thought I had found a new favorite beer; then I tried some of Carson's other offerings and realized this is just average for them.

12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled of toasted caramel, toffee and floral notes. Sweet toasted caramel with citrus and a mild bitter bite.

12 oz. bottle, no bottled on date present. My first beer from Carson's Brewery, out of Evansville, Indiana. Acquired a single bottle of this stuff as part of a mixed six pack at the local Binny's.
Poured into a clear balloon snifter.
A - It pours a crisp golden / burnt sienna orange body. One finger of thick creamy off-white head. Lots of good sticky strands of lacing. Looks excellent.
S - The aroma is big of caramel malt. Pale malt. Crystal malt. A crisp, sweetened aroma, with a subtle herbal hopping.
T - Taste follows the nose: lots of crisp, sweetened, pale bready malts. Some herbal hopping, not overly bitter. A bit grainy on the finish.
M - Feel is smooth, crisp, & clean. Bready & sweet, with a lightly bitter finish.
Overall, very delicious and drinkable. Everything I look for in a pale ale. Definitely interested to try more from this brewery.

Served in a Lagunitas mason jar.
Apparently "pagan" just means "Viking-lookin' dude"... Anyway, this stuff pours a clear brass topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises light white bread, musty greens, mild resin, and a touch of dusty citrus peel. The taste brings in more of the same, along with some brown grass for the sake of it. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fluid feel. Overall, this pale ale did not do it for me at all. The hops are musty and overly bitter, the malts are barely able to express themselves, and the resulting combination is one that is just anathema to my taste buds.

12 oz bottle from Binny's (mix 6) poured into 2 tasting glasses
A - rusty golden color, 2 fingers of fluffy cloud like foam that took a while to slink down and stuck to the side of the glass
S - floral and citrusy hops shine through in this nose, slightly sweet
T - sweet and peppery! lemon citrus really comes through for me
M- lingering on the palette, minimal pepper
O- wasn't thinking I would like it based on the hoppy nose, very clean and citrusy taste was the redeeming quality for me
