Look: Golden amber with less than average white head that leaves some nice lacing.
Smell: Fresh piney and citrus hop
Taste: Delicious balance between a just sweet enough to balance the fresh citrusy hops. Gentle bitter finish.
Feel: Medium body and smooth, effervescent.
Overall: The Bent Paddle IPA hits all the right notes for me. The maltiness is just enough to balance the fresh, aromatic citrusy hops. It’s light enough to be refreshing but also has plenty of body and flavor. The alcohol level is just right. A truly satisying IPA.

Appearance: Poured light golden-orange with a ting of haziness. One inch of white head that shrank to a nice sprinkled on layer that stayed until the end. Visible carbonation. Lacing excellent.
Smell: Upfront is the American hop flavors; dank citrus-grapefruit with piney notes. The aroma is not as in your face as I've come to expect out of an American IPA. Grassiness a little bit. Some malt comes through in the form of biscuit, maybe a little caramel.
Taste: The hop flavor returns with a vengeance. The resinous and dankness is more available with the grapefruit citrus and pine. Small amount of biscuit malt character past the hops. Finishes dry with a coarser bitterness that lingers for a short time.
Mouthfeel: Light body with moderate to high carbonation. A little prickly on the tongue toward the end. Finishes dry as well.
Overall: A great beer that is easy to drink a lot of. Nice American IPA in my opinion. I would suggest this to others.

look: 4 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.75
Appearance: Pours a beautiful deep golden color with a very strong white head. Moderate opacity.
Aroma: Very little on the aroma. Some nectarine, pineapple, and grapefruit. A slight airy piney undertone
Flavor: Flavor follows the nose. Lots of bitter pine flavors. Some grapefruit and orange citrus, unripened pineapple with nice airy pine notes. A good herbal garlic and onion twist to it as well. Not much malt flavor so with only hops it finishes slightly bitter. Not very bitter, but without the malt sweetness it allows it to finish hoppy and slightly bitter and dry. This is what I would describe as the "old school" pale ale combo.
Feel: Good carbonation. Light to medium bodied. No sweetness.
Overall: Not sure if Golden IPA should be a style, but agree w/ StoneTrippened review that its a hop flavored IPA that has all the malts removed. Doesn't need to have too much hop bitterness or dry-hopping. Just a light hop profile without any malts still allows the hop flavors to shine through nicely. It takes me back of how I used to interpret and think of hoppy beers before I knew craft beer. This one is actually really good and worth trying
