Stopped by here on my way home from work today. Selection isn't that extensive--only 3 coolers of craft bombers, plus some craft 4s and 6s. Jubilation or Total Wine has much better selection, but what's interesting is that they have a few things that I've never seen anywhere in New Mexico, and as far as I know aren't distributed here. I saw a lone Dieu du Ciel beer, a couple from Adelbert's Brewery in Austin, a lot of Deschutes Stoic, plus a few more that I can't remember off-hand. I don't know how they're getting these beers, but it makes it worth stopping by to see what rarities (for NM) they have in stock.

Besides being a bit of an eyesore and having water spilt across the floor that I fortunately didn't slip fall and hurt my back and my neck on, the craft beer selection here is rather commendable. Perhaps not as comprehensive as Jubilation, but the selection in here had some surprises and many a beer that I had not seen in other stores in Albuquerque.

Nogne and Mikkeller were here in abundance, though there were a few that were clearly past their best by date, as were some BrewDog and other highly sought after European craft. I even found an oyster stout brewed in Ireland which was cool. Of course, the stateside craft has all the usual suspects, Stone, Rogue, Marble, New Belgium, though again, Jubilation and even Quarters trump this aspect. Ditto for the German beer, as Jubilation has a much better variety.
However, the Belgian, Saison and sour selection here was much more comprehensive, so that's a plus for BOP.

I have to comment on the hilarious behavior from the cashier too, as when I first walked in with a tie and a blazer he glanced at me, made a look of contempt and looked away without a word. When I approached the counter with my beers, he still said nothing and seemed intent on showing his disdain for me (I assumed it was the suit and tie or that I was assumed to be a clueless drinker in for some Budweiser or a combination of both). However, after sizing up the beers I was buying, the guy came alive and began making recommendations, telling me about different beers and his background and such. I could've been annoyed at the initial lack of acknowledgement, but instead found it funny and then enjoyed our beer convo, so I'm not holding this against him or BOP. I imagine others might though.

Overall, I realize I now have a new place to add to my weekly rounds as I seek out goodies of the craft beer kind.

Great Selection of micro brews and Belgians. Knowledgeable staff. Prices very reasonable. If you love good beer you should check this place out.

Had three of my top 5 beers. Get Foret and Abt 12 and this place is a home run.

Bought them out of Triple Karmaliet.... Sad, but plenty of others to choose from.
