Taproom is in a mixed use strip running along the highway on the south side of town. Straight bar opposite the entrance seats about 15 with a few tables about the room. About 20 beers on tap, nice selection. Friendly, knowledgeable bartender. Crowlers. Great place.

New spot to add to the list. Kind of in the cut, but pretty cool inside. Kind of small and has a dive bar feel. The beers are OK. Nothing special. Would come back to hang out, but not to try new beers.

went early on a Sunday. small tasting room with perhaps 30 taps running. brew area looked pretty small to accommodate so many. beertender (Rebecca?) seems knowledgeable and polite. three wheats to the wind (electric brewing collaboration) was the standout on my flight. crowlers at $10-12 seems a little high, but beers were enjoyable overall

My first visit convinced me that this is my favorite brewery in the Temecula valley. I search for brews that I haven't tried before. This place delivers barrel aged, adjuncts, and unique brews that you wont find elsewhere. Also the menu is the largest I've seen here in the valley. Ipas and stouts dominate the menu with some pale ales, a blonde, and a red to please the newcomer. I went during a slow Thursday afternoon so the vibe wasn't "popping" but the place looks awesome. I especially liked the "water" tap which features a self serve Budweiser tap. Oh, they also serve non alcohol drinks as well for the dd and ladies that don't like beers. Don't miss this spot on your Temecula valley visit.

There's 24 on tap in the tasting room! The environment is super friendly and perfect for drinking. Great music, low lighting, awesome decor, there's a lot of merchandise, and the staff is super friendly and easy to talk to. Lots of stouts and IPA's with a whole lot of creative flavors to help your pallet explode with happiness!!

Located in a strip mall down from Old Town. Cool, dark vibe. Went on a Monday night and it was dead. The beer wench was super nice and attentive. Decent selection of brews. Not the best tasting stuff, but not the worst either. Small area to buy their gear. Chalk board menu to the left of the bar. Cool place to hang out. They offer a membership, that if I was a local, I'd take advantage of. Get some decent pints and growlers on the cheap.

Aftershock Brewery opened up about a year ago now and has gotten increasingly better. The tasting room is small but very beer appropriate. The bartenders are all extremely knowledgeable about their product, and are very friendly and professional. I frequent the place quite often and have high high hopes for Aftershock. I heard they are moving to a bigger location very soon and hopefully the atmosphere will improve.
They offer 4oz tasters at $1-$2 and growler fills (even stainless growlers are available!) Currently they bottle 6 of the beers they brew, and all have the yellow waxed top. I'll be reviewing the beers directly :) And you have to try the Root Beer...
Keep up the good work Aftershock!

Small tasting room in an industrial park. It is a little hard to find.
There were ten beers and a root beer on tap. It looked like two or three taps were free.
They had metal on the stereo and NHL Network on the TV, if you like that sort of thing (I do). Nice staff.

To the south of old town Temecula lies Aftershock Brewing. It faces I-15, not the street, so watch for address numbers, and is part of a compact industrial complex. Walk right in and you notice immediately how small the tasting room is. There is seating for a dozen, at, along at the bar, and in the back. There's a tap where customers can pour their own water if they chose. Coasters line up around the room, and even the bathroom has a strip of wallpaper of beer labels. Having an informed bartender and staff who would peek their heads into the tasting room from the brewing facility showed that they care about the customer.
There were a dozen beers listed on-tap, however two of the beers had tapped out. Still, 10 house beers is a good selection, ranging from a pale ale and Double IPA, to an espresso stout and chipotle smoked ale. There's even a cask to the side, however nothing was pouring from it. Tasters are available alongside full pours, starting at $5 a pint and heading towards $4 for an eight-ounce snifter. The three beers which I tried I liked, however their carbonation levels I thought were low.
Temecula has become a hotbed for new breweries, and Aftershock is just one example of that. I'd give it a visit again if I were nearby.

I made a trip out to Temecula recently since I was down that way for work and stopped in at Aftershock. It's a fairly small spot with a tasting area up front and the brewery in the back. I was the only person in there for most of the time so the service was good. The beers were served in glassware and at a good temperature but the mouthfeel on everything seemed to be off. They had 9 beers on tap when I was there along with a root beer they make which was actually super tasty. Prices are reasonable at $1 or $2 for 5 oz. tasters and around $5 to $6 for full pours. They also sell bottles of their beer to go that interesting enough are all wax dipped. I would probably stop in again if I was in the area to see what's new.
