Our Hoppy Pilsner is modeled after the pilsners brewed in Northern Germany. The beer has a firm bitterness derived from European hops, and a pale, straw color that comes from all German grain. This combination is then fermented with a German Lager yeast and allowed to lager in the tank for 5 weeks. The blend of ingredients and time create a crisp, clean, flavorful, yet refreshing beer.

Mildly chill hazed yellow colored beer with a tallish white colored head with some staying power.

Smells soapy and grassy with lots of noble hop. Scent is decidedly soapy. Malt is present but nothing about that stands out.

Starts out mildly sweet and mildly bitter. Taste is slightly soapy. Grassy hop and that is about it.

Mouthfeel is good.

Overall an OK beer but not that memorable.

Can from Belmont Station.

A clear straw yellow with a dense, off-white head with excellent retention and lacing, this looks great. The nose has a very nice blend of grain and dry, earthy hops. Clean, mildly minty and with some lemony notes, this is robustly, but not excessively hoppy. The grain character is slightly doughy and moderately cracker like. The palate opens clean and mildly bitter with a mildly oily, minty, lemony flavor. This is followed by a mild honeyed cracker sweetness and dough flavor. Nicely done, this beer finishes clean, bitter and resiny. Light in body and moderately carbonated, this beer is very drinkable. Despite the name, it isn't a particularly hoppy pilsner - someone expecting the intensity of a Jever will be disappointed, but this is a very good beer nonetheless

Very satisfying. I've tried other Saint Archer canned beer, specifically White Ale, and this was as the same standard of quality. Starting to pick this up more often recently.

This is a superb Pilsner. Love the cans look too. This Pilsner excels with a tropical hoppiness that complements the style beautifully without overwhelming with bitterness or bleeding into a hopper style. What really shines in this beer is a honey sweetness that balances the hops well. It plays so well together and makes for what I think is the best Pilsner I've had.

Can dated 06/23/16 into a nonic pint. Pours straw yellow with 1+ finger of medium density white head that dissipates quickly and left minimal lacing. Nose is quite nice, good balance of hop forward character but detectable malt influence. Wanted the taste to live up to the nose, but it didn't quite. It's a nice pilsner, but wanted more hop character from a beer named "Hoppy Pilsner". Finish was clean. Mouthfeel was good, crisp and very drinkable, carbonation on the lower side. It's a solid beer, but I'd definitely grab Wussie before I'd buy it again.
