I was a bit skeptical when I purchased this. I've had St. Archer before but was largely left underwhelmed - this offering was different. Poured a light golden orange (I typically love the lighter beers than darker ales), aroma was a nice pine + citrusy blend. They didn't skimp on the aroma hops. Taste was light, hoppy, fruity, not much malt but more hoppy than malty for sure. There is a decent hop bit on the finish but nothing overboard or off balance. I will definitely get this again. A must try if you dig west coast pale ales.

Hazy golden with almost no head on an admittedly overly ginger pour. Aroma is not incredibly strong but is incredibly fresh and full of grapefruit, citrus rind, orange, some peach and apricot, lemon, and pine. Taste is more piney and hop-forward with citrus, pine, and grapefruit, moderately bitter. I'm sure there is enough malt to support the hops but I can't really pick the malt out. Feels crisp and a bit resinous. Finishes bitter and refreshing. Excellent!

Copper to gold in color with a fingernail of dishwater white on top. Moderate lacing. The aroma is of light malt with citrus hops. I'm tasting citrus hops and light doughy malt. The mouth is smooth, crisp, and refreshing.

12oz can bought in Oxnard and brought home. Canned on 01/18/17.

Pours clear golden with a small head and a moderate amount of fine carbonation. Smell is surprisingly hoppy, fresh and piney. A little bit of a citrus peel aroma.

Taste is clean, moderate bitterness, more of the pine with a hint of citrus. Pretty crisp; long lingering bitter finish. This would be a very drinkable beer.

Mouthfeel is dry and light. Overall, this is a very solid but not a standout pale ale. I wouldn't hesitate to drink it at parties or games or activities, and I wouldn't be afraid of drinking it in quantity.

Had fresh from a keg, not a bottle. Dark for a lager. Hoppy as heck. Not wimpy. They could hide a high abv in this, if they wanted to. For all its hops, it is well balanced.

12 oz can in pint glass.

L: Pours a light gold color, slightly hazy, with a 1-finger head. Average head retention and lacing.

S: Medium nose, with mostly citrus and a little pine.

T/F: Mostly taste the hops, with not much malt to balance it out. A bit of bitterness at the finish. The body is light, and it goes down pretty smooth.

O: A good Pale Ale, but with a bit more hop presence. I prefer more of a malt-balance in my Pale Ales, but this is a good alternative.

Hazy gold with one inch head on the pour. Citrus, floral hoppy nose. Lemon peel, bitterness and medium carbonation. Overall, a great pale ale for hot summer.

Had to drink most of this out of the bottle on my way from Palm Springs to Las Vegas. Ended up pouring a small amount into a small glass. Good head with big piney and floral nose. The color is a nice pale amber with a slight golden hue. A nice pale ale with a good amount of hops to bitter it out. A true American PA IMO.
