Look is bright yellow, indicative of a good blonde.
Smell is like a pilsner.
taste is crisp and refreshing.
Feel is clean and that of a pilsner.
Overall not bad, I’m a huge fan of their White Ale, so I’d lean towards getting that again before this.

St. Archer Blonde
(ABV: 4.8%) (IBU: 22)

This is an American interpretation of the Germanic ale from Köln, known as a Kölsch ale. Traditional German influences of Noble Hops and an authentic Kӧlsch yeast strain are used to brew this American adaptation. Kölsch ales are top-fermenting lagered beers, so these types of ales have certain lager-like characteristics.

AROMA – Bready malt, honey, fresh cut hay, straw, slight floral hoppiness, spicy yeast

APPEARANCE – Hazy golden straw hue, rocky white foamy head, minor lacing, decent head retention, heavy amounts of carbonation bubbles

FLAVOR – Spicy peppered yeast, malt sweetness, honey, lemon, grassy, cracker/biscuit, floral hop, straw

MOUTHFEEL - Clean, crisp powerful carbonation, medium-light bodied, refreshing, dry finish

OVERALL – Easy drinking lawnmower beer for a hot afternoon; delightfully simple allowing oneself to be refreshed after a long day’s work; a nice example of an American inspired Kölsch

Criminally underrated and immensely drinkable. Pretty much the first Kölsch I've had this side of the pond that nails the style. And of course they don't call it a Kölsch on the label... Go figure.

This beer pours a clear, light golden color with a thin white head that quickly dissipates. The scent is fresh barley and faintly alcoholic. By appearance and scent alone this could easily pass for a mass produced light beer. The taste is wheat malt and a little alcohol, not much else. The finish is crisp and drier even than most blondes though not as dry as something like an Asahi. It’s definitely a little hoppier also. There’s not really a lot going on here. It’s definitely more drinkable and pleasant than a mass produced light beer, but it’s also more expensive and you’re not really getting anything that special for your extra money.
