Poured into an IPA glass from the can. The color is a nice clear orange with a good white head that leaves perfect lacing. The nose is slightly sweet and bready with a touch of mango and pine. The taste follows suit but has a touch of tartness as well. The mouthfeel is full and smooth. This is very well described, as it's not as balanced as an APA, but less hoppy than an IPA.

Absolutely love this pale ale ! Clean, crisp, refreshing, juicy, hoppy and crushable ! So delicious . . . always an option for me. Hands down the best brew Seventh Son offers at the moment. Underrated and always available.

Fom a can.
Clear golden with a decent head.
Flavor: Hop forward with enough malt to tame the bitterness (mild).
Both hops and malt are amped up just a little bit.
Body is a tad watery.

16 ounce can poured into a 12 ounce snifter hand on 930 16th

A: very small light small bubble head that dissipates quickly. Body is a fairly clear amber light orange in color.

S: mango peach and apricot come out in the smell.

T: the mangoes come through with a little bit of Pineapple but then there is a lot of sharp bitterness that lingers on the tongue. Then there is an aftertaste of alcohol.

M: for 6% ABV it's a tad syrupy and has lowish carbonation.

O: not a bad beer with fruit forward in the pale ale but it drinks heavier than it suggests. I don't know that I would recommend drinking this.

This awesome APA pours a bright golden copper color from the can with a fantastic head of white foam that settles nicely to a thick ring, nice pooling layer, and excellent sudsy lacing. Nose of grapefruit, orange zest, subtle breaded malts, and light honey. Flavors follow the taste with balanced grapefruit and orange zest flavors hitting solidly among the honey and breaded malts on the front and middle. A balanced pine note hits middle to back and fades off in the back finishing with a herbal and bittering hops note that ends clean on the palate. Very nice mouth feel, crisp, refreshing, and while full of flavor finishing clean with a light bitterness.

BALANCE BALANCE BALANCE. The three cornerstones of a great session brew.

This brewery deserves a more scrutinizing look from the locals and would generate substantial buzz if they had wider distribution.....like say as far as CIncy (HINT!).

One of the rock stars of the Columbus micro scene. Perfect!

Cheers!

16 ounce can, guess this was canned within the past week or 2. It was the most recent batch they received at my local store this week. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a hazy golden/orange color with about a half inch off-white head that stayed around for a long time. There's a good amount of lacing left on the glass. Aroma is nice, the brew smells mostly like citrusy (grapefruit) and pine hops, along with some light tropical fruit. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also the addition of some light blueberries and sweet malt. However, this brew is all about the hops, it really is a "Super Pale Ale" like it says on the can. Mouthfeel/body is medium, its a bit slick and has moderate carbonation. It's a good selection to be one of their first canned brews. Hopefully they'll keep canning this one, I'd buy it again. $9.99 a 4-pack.
