Poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a dark copper to amber color with a finger's worth of fairly quick dissipating white foamy head. Lots of clingy foamy lace with one big ring near the top and some messiness below.
The aroma had the maltiness up front coming about like some toast to caramel/toffee malts with a little bit of dirtiness and then some sticky semi-piney hops with some bitterness starting to take over the entire scent.
The flavor was basically the same with a clever little bit of tobacco leaf coming across in a semi-dry sort of sweetness. Aftertaste was tobacco leafy and malty.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with an okay sessionability about it. Carbonation felt a bit stiff, but mostly fine. ABV felt on par. Finish was brisk with some of that tobacco leafiness and the toast with a little bit of pine.
Overall, I almost want to say this is an English IPA, but well, my numbers stand on this one until I hear otherwise.

Poured from the tap. Orange hazy with a tightly carbonated head. Citrus aroma with notes of malt. Mouth feel very creamy. Sweet notes of malt balanced with the abundant hops. Overall a great beer. Would drink it again.

12 oz. can while watching a play at the Gloucester Stage Company. Not bad. Fairly light bodied. Has a very earthy taste - on the pinier end of the IPA spectrum, thus also pretty dry. I'd like to try this again under different circumstances, since I was somewhat distracted.
