Poured from a can into a pint glass.

Appearance: Darker Amber color and hazy with a thick beige head.

Smell: Light hops and citrus.

Mouthfeel/Taste: Smooth medium bodied. Taste of bitter hops and pine notes with a hint of citrus.

Overall: It looked a lot stronger than it was, but still a good IPA.

Beautiful golden honey color with nice slightly tan one inch head. Very nice and interesting structure with perfect balance of malts and hops. Earthy pine and citrus flavor. On the edge of a double IPA, yet very smooth finish. First beer on my first trip to Boston. I'm off to a great start.

This is a heavy handed IPA. It tastes more like a double IPA due to the malt characteristics and sheer IBUs.

I will have one on occasion because it packs a punch and can be sipped slowly.

It's not a bad beer, but IPAs abound and to make a truly exceptional IPA is not easy these days.

The bottom line is that NBPT brewing company has set out to make decent beers for the average dude in a can, not make any revolutions in the IPA world. They've done a pretty good job of making and selling lots of beer. But I'd say stick with the Pale Ale if you want to drink NBPT Brew Co beers.

Poured a reddish orange color in a Spiegelau glass with a 4F head. Nice looking beer.
The aroma is not very strong: earthy and piney.
The initial MF is very carbonated.

Definitely an approach to a West Coast IPA. Excellent citrus with a zesty, hoppy, finish.

Warming makes the flavors more expansive. There is more pine in the aroma, and the bitterness is stronger.

Overall, an excellent IPA. I have enjoyed a number of beers from the brewery. They are an up and coming MA brewery.

Wow. What an amazing beer. Took us by surprise. Had it on tap at a small restaurant in Boston. Great hops profile. Vey smooth. Low bitterness. Well balanced.
