L -- Dark brown body with a finger of light tan head produced with moderate pour. Good retention and great lacing
S -- Rich nutty coffee, cacao powder, roast, hint of blueberry
T -- Largely follows nose, focusing mostly on the mocha joe's espresso roast, which has a nice fruity character to it thanks to Pierre's (head roaster at Mocha Joe's) training with coffee guru George Howell
F -- Quite thin and watery
O -- Good coffee, not the greatest brew

Pours a one finger khaki head, that fades slowly leaving traces of lace. Black color, no highlights. Strong carbonation and light bodied. Coffee nose and taste follows - roasted coffee, thin. Not worth $4.45 for a 16oz black can from Beverage Warehouse Winooski, VT.

L: deep dark brown almost black but on the edges can almost see through the brown, little head and light to no lacing
S:deep roasted malt nose with coffee to back it up
T: follows the nose burnt roast malt a litte on the bitter side but in a good way, like a hot cup of strong coffee
M: clean and crisp and for me beer falls a touch short compared to others in the style
O: a very solid beer and really for a selfie find even better I can grab a 4 pack in cans whenever I want. Agree with other sub 3.5 rating is not deserved.

Looking at the ratings, I believe this is a reincarnation. 2014 rating were terrible. I find this to be an excellent, roasted porter. The espresso bean stands out with a nice mocha flavor. From a 16ox can..Very tasty!

Poured into an English pint glass, the appearance was a nice looking black pour with some red hues about the glass. Finger’s worth of eggshell white foaminess. Some light lace sliding into the beer. The aroma consists of fairly thick milk chocolate sweetness with some sweet espresso beans, then just a touch of vanilla. Finishes with a crisp roastiness. The flavor leaned towards the sweet side blending the milk chocolate to the espresso, nicely done. Wet sweet sort of chocolatey aftertaste running into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fabulous sessionability about it. Mild carbonation. ABV felt fine. Overall, nicely done sweet porter well worthy of having again.

Pored from a 16 oz. can into a Sam Adams glass. Poured black with a thick tan head which lasted. Strong smell of coffee. Solid coffee flavor with a great aftertaste. Outstanding beer.

I remember Mocha Joes's from downtown, Brattleboro, VT where I lived for 6 years as part of a private school. Pours a dark brown hue with a one finger head into my glass. Pungent aromas of roasted coffee and cream upfront. Rich and creamy, roasted coffee drop-out. Immediately, I am reminded of why I enjoyed Mocha Joe's as much as I did. It was my first introduction to "real" coffee, unlike the Folgers and Maxwell House of my youth. Either way, amazing porter with a good dose of coffee. Cheers.
