Style: Fruit / Vegetable Beer

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 5.30%

Availability: Rotating

Notes / Commercial Description:
In the Naval tradition of telling time by the ship’s bells, sailors would hear eight bells each day at noon, the perfect time to enjoy this brunch-inspired brew. We’ve added a hefty dose of blueberries to a bready base ale and finished it off, of course, with a modest helping of rich maple syrup. Just a dash of vanilla and cinnamon round out this decadent yet balanced indulgence.

Bottled on 9/7/2015.Pours a hazed murky amber with a large billowing off white head atop.Aromas of fresh blueberries really stand out, ripe and somewhat tart,an iron tinge is there as well.A punch of fresh blueberries at the onset of the palate followed my maple syrup, the syrup is not sweet and in your face it just melds well with the blueberries.I get a hint of cinnamon in the back end making for a near perfect palate for what they were setting out for.Great job here by Brothers.

Not being a fruit beer fan, this one is quite enjoyable and would be a perfect hot summer afternoon thirst quencher.
Look: pours a super foamy head so pour very slowly as you would a Duvel.
Smell: blueberries and spice.
Taste: light blueberry, and other mild flavors that I cannot put words to.
Feel: definitely bottle-conditioned and very carbonated.
Overall: I would buy this again for a hot summer day.
Bottled 9/07/15 and purchased at the brewery.

Once again another thanks to rudzud.

Big creamy fizzy 1.5 finger head fades at a med pace nice lacing, bright ruby red color.

Nose is interesting, weird malt thing, little cinnamon and spice thing, sweet candy, nice blueberry, little yeast and yeast from berry.

Taste very interesting, nice blueberry up front, into cinnamon, candy, fresh blueberry flesh, cardamom, baking spices, a bit of a blueberry candy sweet bread or almost pie. Hint of maple on the back end, semi sweet. Finish is drier, little sticky, mild blueberry lingering and dessert bread.

Mouth is med bod, great carb.

Overall decent

Bottle. Pours a golden light brown with 1 finger of head that dissipated quickly. Not much smells. Ale. Barley, some hops, wheat. Taste is a little more sour than expected. Guess that is the blueberries. Definitely bready. Bottle says maple syrup and there is a subtle hint of it. Little vanilla and cinnamon come out as it warms up. Tasty but not overly impressive. Easy to consume.

Appearance: Arrives amber colored at the bar with a nice head that leaves some squiggles of lace

Smell: Blueberry, vanilla and cinnamon waft

Taste: Bready with the spice, blueberry and vanilla flavors building; the blueberry flavors build, after the swallow, but the finish doesn't steer in a sweet direction

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: A nice fruit beer that steers in a different direction from what I expected

From the bottle, it pours a clear amber with a nice head. The head lasts a bit. My wife gets a slightly fruity scent, possibly blueberry, but my clogged nose doesn't. Taste definitely includes cinnamon along with the malt.

Try it when you need something different! ...with French Toast!
