Smells of nail polish remover and rum. Against my better judgement I took a sip and found this beer to be undrinkable due to the overwhelming amount of throat burning acetone.

A belgian blonde/golden strong ale mixture with brett and rum barrel aging might be off-putting to some, but I found it uniquely enjoyable - aside from a bit too much rum barrel.

This was seriously, one of the most disgusting things I've put into my mouth. In my lifetime, I've eaten some weird shit too; ie termites, crickets, jellyfish, snails, etc... Taste and smell was of nail polish remover, mixed with a watered down cheap whiskey. Wish my internet was working when I spent $18 on this garbage.

I really don't know why this beer is rating out so low. I thought that the Belgian base was perfect for the brettanomyces, and the rum barrel aging. It was very drinkable, very complex, and the flavors that were present were all complimentary. Solid beer!

Not nearly as bad as it's been made out to be. With a little age it's really not that bad. Sour apples and rum actually make it pretty drinkable.

From a bottle, pours a hazy and cloudy blonde color with a wispy white head.
The nose is, well, this is disgusting. The smell is vinegar, nail polish, a little trash and rotten vegetables. What the hell happened? This smells horrific.
The good news, it tastes better than it smells. Not great, but it's moderately sweet, vegetal, green peppers, a little pear, good oak content with some alcohol present.
Overall, this smells gross but tastes slightly better. They screwed this up somewhere.

The nose is at times a bit scary as it produces a turpentine or acetone scent. The aroma holds some white wine, rum, alcohol and sourness.
The flavor starts with a bit of rum and that off putting turpentine. So off putting that I couldn't drink it for a while but went back to it. It seemed that after it warmed, which is not how I like a sour, it softened quite a bit. With warmth it developed some pear, Apple and a lot of white wine.
You shouldn't have to work this hard to enjoy a beer but it is worth not pouring out and waiting for it to warm and air out.
