Had this amazing stout when I visited this brewery, and I yet to find another that is as good.

Poured on tap at the brewpub in Harrisonburg VA into a 5 oz glass.
Dark very walnut brown body and totally opaque. Nice dark coffee to cocoa top colored head. Dissolves a little fast but leaves a thin collar and settles well.
Excellenter coffee and milk like aromas from the glass. Roasting malts and char with a bean like oily sense. Mild lactose quality which I prefer.
Palate comes not unexpected but with some lighter touches. Creamy notes of vanilla, with chewy brownie like coffee and chocolate qualities in mid palate. Not as much a silky finish but comes with a slightly thicker cola sweetness and a faint dull fizzing mouthfeel.
A pretty solid imperial take on a milk stout giving some bigger oomph and control. Still though manages a bit of obtuse sweetness but not too distracting. Seems these imperial milks have some interesting character.
