A wonderfully unique and delicious offering from de Garde. Beautiful purple haze. Big jammy fruit on the nose. Taste is amazing. Super sour. Wonderful fruit taste. You get a touch of bitterness from the seeds that adds another dimension to the flavor. Almost a blackberry puree it's so thick. Dances on the tongue. World class. Cheers to de Garde. This is worth seeking out.

750ml bottle, served in a wine glass.

Pours a hazy dark reddish body, very much like an oud bruin. Two finger white head that settles down quickly in the De Garde way. Smells of tart blackberries, wheat, lactic acid, oak, that mild Tillamook funk. It's pretty much what I've come to expect from De Garde, and that's a great thing. Flavour is similarly blackberry-forward, lots of that characteristic tartness buttressed with more lactic acid from the base beer. Wheat, oak. It's drinking very well right now, even if it's not superbly complex it's delicious. Mouthfeel is medium-lighter in body, effervescent, refreshing, good prickly carbonation and easy to drink. Overall, just another excellent De Garde fruited Bu, really good stuff.

Bottle gushed with this gorgeous purple looking sludge that crept out the sides and greeted you with a smile. In the glass it's murkyk, angry and the most unique color of any beer - pretty and yet questionable. This smell is beyond absolutely wonderful, sweet, jammy and like you're living in a field or macerated berries. Taste was tart but I would have liked more fruit sweetness to come through. Because the bottle was over-carbed, it really was distracting when drinking the beer. Overall, unique and fun brew.

So much cloudy rooby tonez!! Amazing berry and tart fruit taste (but not necessarily blackberry). Lurkaholic, there are no words for my feelings.

Edit: Beetroot! Getting it in the taste in the best possible way!!
