Thanks, Brian.

A clear orange with a dense, choppy, off white head that falls off to a disk, this looks nice. On the nose, the hops are most noticeable and dominant, with a lemony, earthy, mildly fruity note. This complements the lemony and mildly lactic sourness that are present. A mildly minty note is present as well. Highly unorthodox, but it works. The funk here is cleaner than other de Garde beers I've had, lacking in the Tillamook terroir. A touch of gin is present as well.

The palate opens bright, crisp, clean and sour with a pronounced lemony twang, a lactic yogurt flavor, and a ton of fruits - lemons, mild melon, mint, earth - this is great! The mid palate has flavors of juniper, vanilla, a touch of oak and honey. The way this beer is put together, with the array of flavors present and the way they're layered, makes me think Cantillon's Iris inspired this beer. Drying on the finish with an earthy, minty, hoppy bite to go with the clean lactic and lemony sourness, this is excellent stuff.

Reviewed from notes. 750ml bottle shared by Jeremy - thanks. 200 bottles.

A: Pours a hazy yellow with a 1/4-inch thick white head which fades to a thin cap and leaves spots of lace.

N: Lemony, wheat, kiwi, lychee tropical fruits, earthy and pungent.

T: Bright and clean wheaty lemony sour.

M: Light body and light carbonation. Finishes dry with lemony wheat.

O: Refreshing and enjoyed.

750 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Clear golden body. Big white head. Thick collar.

Smell - Nice grassy and grapefruit hoppiness. The lemon isn't really a lemony hop, more from the yeast and acidity.

Taste - Grassy here too, but lemon takes over. Really strong lemony flavor without being too tart. Some pale malt flavors come through in the back.

Mouthfeel - Well carbonated. Light sourness. Medium body.

Overall - Refreshing and flavorful.

I shared a bottle of this alongside the Apricot at a recent tasting. While the latter blew me away, I didn't much care for this one.

Hazy golden-yellow pour, with a frothy white head that sank to a wispy layer, leaving random sheets of lacing on the glass. Aroma was pretty muted, floral, with notes of citrus and toasted wheat, corn sugar. Surprisingly very little tartness in the taste, more so flavors of wheat, cheese, lemon juice, mild malt sweetness, some earth in the finish; hops were floral, but old and subdued; very little barrel notes. Hmm. Not really what I expected. And the lower carbonation sort of made it a bit bland and chewy. Light-medium body, not nearly as crisp and acidic as I like Berliners to be. Not bad, but overall pretty underwhelming. Left me craving some Afternoon Delight. Fortunately, the Apricot was really excellent!
