Pours a pretty pinkish/purple, and rubylike color. Gets darker as the head forms a rocky pink foam that settles down not too quickly. Beautiful looking beer.

Nose stood out from the pour. It’s a very ripe fruit, I guess of, boysenberry! Never had it before but it reminds me of a juicy pomegranate. You can pick up that lactobacillus like funk and sourness just from the nose.

Actually very sour upfront and also sweet on the backend, but mostly sour. This def reminds me of juicy ripe pomegranate pulp. Definitely has some lactobacillic character. Very tasty.

Highly highly drinkable. Light bodied with just the right level of light to medium carbonation. Pucker up!

Wow, very lovely beer from de garde. Didn’t know what to expect as I’ve never had anything boysenberry but this is really nice. Not overly sour, and extremely drinkable.

750ml bottle from share.. Rich ruby red body capped by a small pink head. Aroma is full jelly jar berry freshness. Taste brings in wooden barrel notes, more of the fruity berry flavors, and the right amount of tartness. Another classic from De Garde.

Pours like dark purple grape juice. Smell is a nice combination of fruit and earthy notes. Tastes fantastic, super refreshing. Not my normal style for drinking, but thoroughly enjoyed this one.

A good take on the "bu" series, this one pours like grape juice, such a dark velvet stain in the glass. The smell is quite different. There was a must that I really couldn't put my finger on. A nice, dark fruit flavor on the palate, with the burn on the acidity not presenting itself until well after the quaffing.

Pour is very dark purple, mostly clear, with a pink head. Nose has a really bright jammy aroma with an interesting spice of lemon grass. Taste is a bit sweeter, the berry jam starts to creep towards the edge of being sweet but still quite jammy. The spicy lemon grass is mild and comes in towards the back. Softer body, fairly delicate, moderate carb, semi dry finish.

750 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Deep reddish purple. Medium light pink head. Pretty beer.

Smell - Acidic berry fruits. Sharp oak. That unique De Garde yeast aroma.

Taste - Sour up front. Woody up front. De Garde yeastiness. Sharp sourness. Berry fruitiness is nice.

Mouthfeel - Medium light. Nice sourness. Medium carbonation.

Overall - It's a very simple beer, but it's good.
