A beautiful beer! So fresh and delightful with the Berliner base and excellent hop profile.

Bottled 7/20, consumed on 12/31/23. $15 for 750 mL bottle.
A&S: Beautiful looking beer. A finger and a half of fizzy white head develops when poured, and dies a bit, but still maintains mostly in a thin layer. Leaves lacing. The color of the beer initially is translucent light orange but becomes muddy/opaque burnt orange later on when sediment is poured in. Fantastic smell. I initially had this as 4.75 right when I opened it. Right as it is popped, the aroma is heavy coriander, floral earthy hops, and I can even get a hint of sea salt (the smell is almost identical to the bottle description). When poured the aroma dampens a little and contains more oak tone, but still really good.
T&M: Whereas both the look and smell were incredible, the taste was a little bit more lacking. Some funk, but I wouldn't say tart sour. Initially very heavy on the salt tones and even some spice tones. There is some bitterness from earthy hopes. Heavy in oak tones. The mouth feel is stingy and crisp from the carbonation and the beer has a medium body.
Overall: This is one of those beers where on first smell and look I thought I would be rating this beer really high (which it looks like most people have). Once I tasted it, and once it warmed up, my rating for some categories dipped a bit. Still a really good, solid beer. If you are looking for something above solid, possibly on a warm summer day, this is a good choice, especially for the price range.

On tap.
L: Large head, hazy yellow orange body.
S: Sweet, floral, spicy. Orange juice, floral hope lemon, a hint of oak and white pepper.
T: Quite zappy. Pure bitter citrus upfront along with salt, mostly lemon and grapefruit, some floral notes, then a bit of sweeter orange, then white pepper and white grape, and oak that lingers on the finish.
F: Acidic, puckering, dry.
O: Zappy, snappy, exciting, fantastic combination of flavors and feel. Lucky to have found it.

Sweet and tart, white wine grape, zesty citrus hoppy, and prominent funky nose on this one! Taste follows with a zappy and slightly salty, citrus hoppy swallow...subdued funkiness hangs around with the tart notes. This has a hybrid wild ale/pale ale/gose vibe to it...different and complex...complicated. The only drawback for me is that this is not as Nelson hop dominant as I was hoping for...still good though!
