Appearance: Pours a very hazy goldenstraw capped by a couple of inches of foam; the stickage is limited as is the lacing

Smell: Bready, with lactic tropical fruit tones - lemon and star fruit

Taste: Lactic lemon and star fruit flavors, with just a hint of bready tones underneath; crisp and somewhat puckery in the finish

Mouthfeel: Light bodied with moderate carbonation

Overall: My first de Garde beer and a good way to begin

Thanks, Vikings1201, for the opportunity

Bottle shared by Umberto tonight, thanks dude!

This pours a murky, almost glowing light peachy color, really interesting color, with a fizzy half inch head, and no lacing.

This smells fantastic, tart Smarties candy aroma, citrus, grapefruit, and a little bit of lacto and funk.

How in the world is this only 2.3% ABV? It's insane, so much flavor packed in to such a small package. This goes down like sour hoppy water. The hop treatment here is really nice, a bit of grapefruit and citrus, a bit of earthy funk, which would seem to the Simcoe acting out, probably. There's a really nice tart bite that's not too intense, but makes you thirsty for the next sip.

This is light bodied, and super crushable, with a very crisp mouthfeel.

This is super delicious, and redefines low ABV beers for me.

Cloudy, light yellow, beautiful aroma of hops. Big taste of lemons and centennial hops. A bit more acidic than I'd want but a great combo of that and the floral/grassy hops at 2.3% ABV, and I'm pretty happy.

Unbelievable! Thanks Leo for sharing. This beer is beautiful and packed with flavor for something with only 2.3% EtOH. I could see myself sitting on a southern plantation style farm in the muggy dead heat of summer sipping this beer. Very crisp, absolutely refreshing, barrels are not overstated but they are present. Fantastic.

Pours a hazy straw colour with an interesting green tint. A finger of fluffy white head that fades fast.

Smells of lychee, peaches, guava fruit, maybe a little pineapple and some slight floral notes too.

Tastes sour and tropical with that guava fruit and some sour nectarines. More tropical fruits as well but I cant pick them out.

Light body, medium-strong carbonation.

Really nice stuff. Really appreciate the abv too. I can have this with dinner and attend my kids school function without guilt. ;-)

Thanks, Joe.

A clear straw yellow with a dense white head with great retention, especially for the style. The nose is super fruity, driven by the hops with the Centennial really adding a nice, bright citrus note. Tropical fruit, especially mango and guava, are apparent. Yogurt sourness that is usually found in copious amounts in Bu variants is dialed down a bunch here.

The palate opens with the big, fruity citrus and tropical fruit character with orange, mango, guava, some papaya on a clean lactic body. Almost smoothie like in intensity of fruit and yogurt flavors. Clean and lactic on the finish with some lemony sourness, this beer is lift in body, crispy carbonated and wonderful on the palate. An inspired variant.
