Had this one July 28, 2017. Didn't really stand out, but hey, an average de garde beer is a very good beer.
Nice golden honey color, ample clarity to it, not a hint of trub anywhere. Doesn't make much in the way of a head, retention of that small little 1/8" whiteness. Aroma is tart, sour, white wine barrel and Tillamook pasture.
Taste is a moderately acidic wine like beer coming close to hybrid territory because of how much the white wine barrel impacts this. Makes it seem more like a wild ale than a saison, but they're total line steppers over here anyways. Lots of the usual lemon, green apple and grapefruit sour and bitterness beyond all that wood. Your chardonnay loving beer hating day drunk friend could be into this. I'm into this, but it didn't set itself apart. Its sourness is pretty sharp. As many of the reviews note, you could really classify this a couple different ways before I would think saison was the most accurate one. Still dry on the back end though.

Bottle shared by Matthew. Thanks man!
Pale yellow body, mild to medium haze with a fleeting white apex. Aromas of barnyard funk, lemon, grapefruit rind, and a general outdoors summer quality. Piquant, elegant, tart, delicious. Another lovely beer from de Garde.

2015: This was a liquid warhead. A sample of this would be great, but I couldn't do a whole bottle. So damn sour!

Milky pale yellow-peach with essentially no head, as it foams up but rapidly dies off, settling quickly to a still looking beer, or even fruit puree.
Damn, I get all manner of powerful lemon! Holy shit...it's a really acidic sour of peaches and apricots with a note of sweet but earthy carrot juice in the background.
