Had this one at March Madness 2015. Quite the gem. Color runs somewhere in the neighborhood of pink and red. Darker than pink, lighter than red, small 1/2" runs to 1/5" white head and stands there. Aroma of tart cherry skin, dry virgin oak, sour power.
Taste, more akin to a berliner than some of the other de gard imperial bus, but still way more sour than any real berliner I've had. Wheat, can't really tell. Too sour to pick up on much nuance. I mean, on one hand, I really liked what the cherry brought to the table. Neat little funk notes of Tilamook were discernable. Less acidic than some of the other imperial bus too. Reminds me of cherry pie.
I like these beers, but damn, the harsh acidity and upped strength blows out a lot of the nuanced stuff I like in a berliner weiss. Again, more like a wild ale.

Orange hazy color with tons of carb/head. If you swirl out the extra gas, nose is all raspberry with a hint of cherry. Taste is a smooth berry with a hint of sour. Feel is creamy and enjoyable. Pretty enjoyable, unless you don't swirl out the gas and it's harsh with very muted tastes.
